The game itself seems innocent enough, yet it can be damaging to your computer in ways that you might not realize. You know how sometimes your laptop gets so slow that it's barely usable? That's usually because of spyware or adware. Roblox is a bit different. It doesn't have a bunch of spyware or adware but it has something far more harmful.

As far as the actual game goes, it is more like Minecraft than Roblox is Minecraft. Instead of crafting items out of blocks, players must craft characters in a variety of different professions.

The best way to put it is that if Minecraft was a giant Lego set that you could build anything you wanted with it. You don't actually have to build a house with Lego bricks but you can make a house using Legos.

You can download the Roblox client which is the piece of software that lets you play the game. The client only requires you to download a few files. Once you do that you can open the client and start playing.

You can get Robux from the game, which is the currency. Robux can be earned from playing games but you can also buy them for real money. If you are just here for a brief overview, feel free to skip the next two paragraphs.

So why am I telling you all this information? The real question is how does Roblox harm your computer? After all, this is just another game. Right? Well, the short answer is that Roblox has a program called "BlockLauncher."

BlockLauncher is a program that gives away extra Robux to the user. Since this is a bonus and not part of the actual game, Roblox does not give the user any incentive to buy real money.

Roblox's official documentation states that Roblox Extensions are safe and can be used on both desktop and mobile browsers. A WebKit browser also states that it is safe to use on Roblox as well as some other websites. Why are browsers like these safe for using Roblox extensions and why are they safer to use than the official website?

It seems like there are lots of questions on what this means. Roblox Chrome extensions safe? WebKit refers to the engine that powers Safari and other browsers that make use of Chromium, like Google Chrome. In this case it isn't disabling WebKit, it's disabling the rendering engine.

To disable it you need to navigate to chrome://flags/ (and it appears at ) and change the "Webkit" setting to disable the Webkit rendering engine. Well, if Roblox is using something called CWebKit (and it appears that they do from a readme on the web) then the engine might be an open source framework. This doesn't mean anything, and in any case the extension is supposed to work with other engines that run chromium, including Webkit (it appears you don't have to explicitly enable Webkit in the chrome://flags/).

You've been duped and are being scammed. I suggest you leave them alone until they get bored of their scam and leave. It's just a game. It's still a scam for that reason

This is what happened to me also. For some weird reason, my account has been disabled, and I have been sent to a message saying that I need to wait 2 hours and a half, and that after that, they will decide if I'm worthy.

I'm not going to bother waiting, and I think that you should too. Don't buy that game.

BTRobox is an independently owned and operated brand that offers a vast array of products, including controllers, games, and peripherals for children and adults of all ages.

Roblox has been very transparent in their announcement regarding how they will be moving forward. We can't say it enough, Roblox is a fan-owned, for-profit platform. We wish them success.

There is no way to distinguish the two from a user's point of view, you just play and have fun. It's all about what you make with it, and if you like it, it's you time of the year! Thanks for the information, I am still interested in this as I own a BTRobox and don't plan on getting rid of it (it's what I use for online gaming). It's just something I don't need to go through the process of buying again to update my Roblox account.

Is there anyway we can get a BTRobox app for our Wii U? I would pay for this, but I don't think Nintendo allows third party apps. I have heard they are going to start allowing this kind of thing soon, though.

BTRobox is a real shame, not because their product is terrible, but because it is a shame they got in trouble with the law, since they are not affiliated with Roblox in any way. Why did you decide to take this step? Because you said that BTRobox is independently owned and operated? And if so, how can you possibly ensure such an independent operator won't ever mess up this game of Roblox? The Roblox games are just like the Roblox content creators. You own your own creations, as you own your own IP. If you own them, and do what you want with them, there shouldn't be any issue.
