Why can't I update my Google Play Services?

How do I update my Huawei Play Store?

I'm having an issue with my phone where the software version is dated 11.

0.15. I can't update it to a newer version without being prompted to do so again. What can I do to fix this?

Why can't I update my Google Play Services?

I've recently been having problems with Google Play Services not being updated and this is causing a lot of trouble for me, specifically when it comes to using the map activity from Google Play Services on Android 4.

0.3 or lower. I'm using a Nexus One phone and a Motorola Xoom tablet, but it's still happening on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 as well. This is making it very hard to use the maps and other Google apps that require the Google Play Services.

Here's the problem. I want to download the latest version of Google Play Services for Android (for the Xoom it's 10. So I'm asking if there is a way to get the update through any means other than buying it.

For me, that means being able to update using the command line (it's not in the play store for me to check), updating manually (downloading the new APK directly from the Google servers) or rooting my device. I'm not sure if I can do any of those three options on my Xoom tablet.

It's really frustrating because I'm doing all of this work for a friend so he can use some of the functions of Google Play Services like accessing the places I've already shared with him, since they don't appear on my Xoom tablet either. But he's stuck with the current version for now.

Can you update my Google Play service?

My Google Play service had stopped working and I was unable to update my game.

I tried resetting it in my device but I was unable to get to the point where my app could be updated. This is how my apps look like:

Google Play Service updates. I tried downloading the play services-fix zip from here, but it does not appear on my downloads. You can try using this Android recovery tool called TWRP from busybox (also known as busy). For this, download and extract the zip file.

For flashing your ROM to TWRP recovery, you need to have unlocked bootloader. You can follow this guide or this guide. You can unlock bootloader even if you have no idea how to unlock it, but do backup important data and settings.

After unlocking bootloader, connect your Android to computer with USB cable and transfer the zip file to Android folder in SD card. You should see TWRP recovery in Downloads.

Open recovery mode by pressing Volume Up button on device (next to power button). You can also type adb reboot bootloader from command prompt.

Flash the downloaded TWRP image to the device using this command: adb sideload twrp-1.4.3.img
Reboot into recovery mode (volume down key while pressing power button). Install the TWRP zip file (this is optional). Now download Google Play Store APK from the link below. You should be able to open the Play Store application from there.
