What should a 12 year old watch on prime?
I have been doing BJJ for the last 4 years, 3 of which on the south side in Texas.
I had started with a white belt because I was the bigger guy for the class and they told me the only real reason to train BJJ was to get to black belt. Since I started, I have done at least one class a week, sometimes 2 and 3 on the weekends. I have seen tons of moves (including sparring), have been injured about 5 times, and I am now training mostly for self-defense (although if it comes down to it I am more than willing to go into a situation with a weapon in my hands).
I am going to start training the 10th grade next month and I was wondering what moves I should be looking at for that level. I will most likely go to black belt soon after, and would like to put that training on the right track from the beginning.
Here is my list of moves that I know: Side control. Mount. Kneeling guard. Sprawling guard. Straight armlock, arm triangle, guillotine. Takedowns from a backtack or turtle position. Sweeps (overhead reverse sweep, underhook, etc). What else do you guys think I should watch for? Is there anything I am missing that would help me out at that age? I have seen tons of moves (including sparring), have been injured about 5 times, and I am now training mostly for self-defense (although if it comes down to it I am more than willing to go into a situation with a weapon in my hands).
What does Amazon Prime include for kids?
The Amazon Prime Video app is the destination for kids movies and television shows.
To get a kid into Amazon Prime, you need only one thing: an Amazon account. Amazon's on-demand movie and TV streaming service has quickly gained popularity with parents and younger viewers, who appreciate the company's robust selection of kids' entertainment. But the content offerings differ from service to service, especially since many of the movies and TV shows are the result of collaborations between companies like Disney, HBO and Starz, which have their own streaming platforms as well.
So what does a child get with an Amazon Prime subscription? There are plenty of options, from new releases from Marvel and DC to classic stories and TV favorites. Here's a breakdown of what you'll find in the apps.
Best for new releases: DC Universe & Marvel Universe. Kids can catch up on superhero stories on these free channels. DC Universe has just 26 movies available it's been a little slow so far but will most likely improve. The content is made up of the company's popular superheroes and villains (think Flash, Green Arrow and Constantine). There are several new release movies at the top of the queue, though many new releases come in the series like Batgirl or Nightwing. Each day, new characters and shows are added to the lineup, and fans who wait patiently for any DC show can even earn rewards for it.
Marvel Universe offers more than 400 hours of content across 27 series and 13 films. As with its DC counterpart, it features all of the biggest superheroes and villains. This app is the way to catch up on Marvel's recent film slate, including Captain Marvel, Thor: Ragnarok and Black Panther.
Best for kids to watch with you: Disney Jr. Is a great place for kids to watch together and learn from their favorite characters.
Disney Jr. Is designed for the youngest of fans, letting kids watch the movies without any parental guidance. It consists of Disney movies and TV shows that have been adapted to work with small audiences.
Where can I find free kids movies?
I have a 6 year old son that is on the autism spectrum.
When I was pregnant I watched many movies about kids with developmental disorders and autism. We are doing fine and I think he is doing ok but I always have to worry that he is going to be overwhelmed or frustrated with a new activity or toy and become very distressed.
Where can I find free movies for my son? My daughter is almost 2, and she does not want to go outside or get in the car. She refuses to walk in the house on her own. She will stand in front of a door until I come out and pick her up. This has been going on for a long time, and has only gotten worse. I'm sure it's the weather, but I don't know what to do. We've been to doctor, physical therapist, and everything else we can think of. She won't even try to walk around the house, and will cry if you try to take her. I try not to pick her up because she hurts me when she falls, and it's always a struggle. Is there any help out there?
Just keep going to therapy and doctors and have her seen by another specialist. She can get frustrated with not getting anywhere in her life and the frustration can easily turn to anger. As far as a movie for her to watch, I would suggest a movie like Up or Monsters Inc. They both have a kid like your daughter, that refuses to go outside. Both are good movies for her.
As far as walking outside and getting in the car, make a rule with her. She has to stay in the car.
Don't leave her there because of the temptation to take her out. But she has to be in the car.
Also, when I was a kid, we didn't have TV's or video games, it was only radio and books and I remember I spent a lot of time alone with my dolls. I know for me it's the boredom with being at home, and then I feel angry and frustrated and I throw a temper tantrum. I would have to say that if she is not interested in anything else that is around her, she probably just wants attention.
