How do I cancel Private Internet Access?
For those using a VPN service, you might want to cancel it so as not to continue using it.
The good news is that you can do this quite easily. For example, if you have set up Private Internet Access on your computer, then you can just delete the VPN connection from your device. You can also use the web browser to delete the connection, but if you are not sure how to do this, then you will need to access the device settings. In this article, we will tell you how to delete the Private Internet Access VPN from the PC or laptop.
When you first set up the VPN connection, you were asked to give your username and password to log in. This is the username and password you will use to log in to the VPN.
To delete a VPN connection, first go to your device's settings. In the settings, you will be able to see a list of all the connections that are active.
On the left hand side of the screen, you should see a list of connections. The most likely place you would find the VPN connection is at the bottom of the list.
If the connection does not have an entry in the list, then it means that the VPN is not currently active. You can delete this connection by going to the list of connections and selecting the VPN connection that you no longer want. Once you have selected it, you can select the 'Remove' button to delete the connection.
If you want to delete the entire VPN subscription, then you will need to visit the website for the subscription.
What happened to Private Internet Access?
Over the past few weeks, there has been significant and growing interest in Private Internet Access (PIA), a popular commercial VPN service. PIA is unique in that it does not use the Free VPN method, where you have to pay a fee for their free service. Instead, they charge a monthly fee for unlimited data usage and bandwidth, which is similar to using the standard no logs method. They do keep your activity logs for a period of time after your payment is processed, though.
On January 1st, PIA quietly launched a new site that appears to be an experiment. The new site lets you choose what kind of data you want to transmit through PIA, either 100 MB or 4 GB per month. These are unlimited amounts of data per month, so if you exceed this amount, it will never be any problem for PIA to bill you at the standard price. Of course, this is still a much better experience than sending your data through a third party, so they are effectively promoting PIA as a superior VPN service.
The company offers the same features as the old site. You can pay with Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, e-payments, Bitcoin ATMs, and credit/debit cards. On the front page, there is a huge banner thanking visitors for using Bitcoin and encouraging people to sign up for bitcoin services. There is also a big call-to-action asking visitors to try PIBut there is an important difference. On the old site, there was a Try Now button. The new site does not offer this functionality. If you want to sign up for PIA, you have to click on a Subscribe button. For now, I am assuming that this is just a teaser, and a new version of the site will likely offer the functionality to try PIA lot of people are concerned about the implications of this experiment, and we should all do our part to get it rolling. But, there is another interesting aspect to consider: why is this new site launching now?
The new site has been live for several days, and the only traffic PIA can really get from the new site is from the promotion banners. But when a new service launches, people are going to hear about it everywhere.

How do I use Private Internet Access VPN? Private Internet Access uses a simple client that is easy to use. You can download the software and start using it right away. The installer will download the server software which is an open source version of the OpenVPN protocol from www.openvpn.
Your router will be used as your server when connecting to the VPN. It will assign you an IP address that is not assigned to the outside world. This IP address will be visible on all devices connected to your network (laptops, tablet etc.) This is to ensure you don't use a public IP address and open yourself up to attacks from malicious people. When using the openVPN protocol, there is no need to port forward. Your router is managing this for you.
If you are interested in a step by step guide to install the VPN click here. How do I connect to Private Internet Access? First of all, if you have a VPN service from Private Internet Access but still can't connect, there is a good chance you are not using the openVPN protocol. Check that you have the latest version of the openVPN client available and that it matches the one you downloaded from the privateinternetaccess.com website.
If you are connecting from home, you will need to forward a specific port. Port 1194 is the port that is being used. There are tools available that make this very easy. Most routers now come with this functionality. Port forwarding can be done by going into the properties of the router, to the "Security" tab, and setting "Enable Firewall". You can also see what ports are being forwarded from within your router by going to "Advanced Settings" and clicking on "Enable Firewall". The router will send any traffic that comes from port 1194 to the VPN server. For example, if you are using a router with 4-5 Ethernet ports, you can forward all of them to a specific device to use. This way you only need to forward one port.
The easiest way to forward your port is to use the free and easy to use portforwader application. Once you have forwarded your port, you can connect using the openVPN protocol.
