Connect an HDMI cable to the TV instead of using the HDMI-CEC. Make sure you have the latest version of Netflix software and media player. Visit the Netflix Help section for information on how to update.
Can't stream Netflix from your TV. Netflix streaming problems are less common than downloading problems. Here are a few solutions to try if you can't stream: Try connecting another device (such as a Blu-ray player, game console, or other streaming device) to the TV to get Netflix to work. Make sure your wireless network is working properly. Make sure your input and output settings are correct. Turn off other programs that use the same wireless network as Netflix. In this case the Logitech C922 (US).
If you cannot see your Roku, or have not installed Rokkle apps on your TV, now we know how to fix your problem. Just follow the instructions below: STEP 1: Make sure your Roku Streaming Stick is unplugged. Open a web browser in a different tab of your computer and go to rokkle. This will redirect you to the Rokkle Website for the TV
STEP 2: Log in. Enter your credentials or use the default. Then choose "Connect devices".
STEP 3: Check all the boxes and un-check everything that you do not want connected. Once everything is selected scroll down, and you should see all your available streaming device including your Roku. If everything is selected move to the next step. If there is no connection in this drop-down, please try checking the Ethernet cord again, as this is common during setup.
STEP 4: Click "Create New Connection" and enter the password and confirm password. STEP 5: Go to Roku.com, select connect to any device, and enter your IP address from step one to verify your device. For an alternative, instead of the web browser (I recommend Chrome), go directly to the Rokkle website from the IP address in your router and click the "Create new Device" button. It will take the IP address from your router
STEP 6: Once verified, you will see a screen where Roku confirms that the connection has been accepted and the stream will start in about 10 seconds or less.
Is Netflix free on smart TV?
I use a netflixed player on my Roku so I can get Netflix on TV.
I tried the TV app but it just said that there was no content because I'm a Roku owner, is there something I'm missing? I'm not sure if they are now or if it has ever worked on smart TVs. So that's how I got my wife to switch to Amazon as her provider for streaming things online. Just a thought. I'm guessing you have a smart tv by now that you're wanting to get into this area? I did this same thing for 3-4 weeks until I finally got Amazon to work properly on my television. I switched over to Amazon as the provider and I had the apps for all my streaming devices. From there its been great and a lot cheaper than our premium cable. It all depends on your situation really, if you are interested in streaming TV services then you will have to deal with different methods from one person to the next. I'll be honest when we moved into our house there was an 8 year old television. It took a while but were able to get it converted over so that we could have Netflix as a streaming platform on our TV. From there it's been just a little side income from Amazon for us and it has taken our cost and our bill to go way down compared to cable and satellite for that matter.
I'm assuming that Roku would be the device you prefer to buy? It's a good one too. You might want to search this site and forums looking for other streaming devices that may work better and have more options at least where you live.
