Can I use a wireless router in a hotel room?
A few things to be aware of.
First, it's really expensive. You're paying for the privilege of being stuck in that room with a lot of very expensive equipment. They can just leave it plugged in next to the phone or TV, or even leave a cord (even if a thin one) for you.
Second, the "extended range" is not true anyway. At a reasonable distance, a wireless router isn't going to do a great job. At the most, it will serve to put your computer next to the router, and provide it with some minimal connection. Don't bother with them, even if they are "free".
A wired Ethernet connection would probably still better (especially if it's free or cheap) because it will be much faster, will be less likely to fail when outside of the normal area, and could be used in a pinch.
Do you have to pay monthly for a portable router?
The term 'network router' is a misnomer; the term is used to describe a range of devices. In many cases they look like home routers or wireless adapters (Wi-Fi), and that's exactly what they are. Many people connect their home network router to their smartphone or tablet and allow the phone/tablet to act as their network access point to the internet. However, it has been observed in an increasing number of cases, especially as the prices drop, that people choose to buy a separate wireless adapter for other purposes such as streaming music to the device, and use the smartphone/tablet for surfing the net.
Do I need to buy a portable router? This question would depend on your intended use of the router. If you are looking to use your mobile device to transfer files over a LAN network using Wi-Fi, then you do not need a separate router, and could very well buy a router at a low cost or rent one if you are going to be using it more than a couple of times per month. However, if you are looking to control your Wi-Fi network from outside your home, and if you are not happy with Wi-Fi for your whole house, then you may want to consider buying a router to connect directly to your existing wired network. You will have to get a router that will take a USB connector or Ethernet cable to connect it to your network, or one that has a wireless modem built in. Some of these are expensive, others are very cheap, but there are also a variety of low-cost models that can fit in with your existing equipment.
How can I compare and choose a router? In this guide, we'll look at: What size will I need? It is very common for most people to buy a large router for their home Wi-Fi system, typically for a wireless-to-wired interface. This will because you will need to use the wireless connection to communicate between rooms in your house. You will need a good range of reach so that wireless clients can be supported without a line-of-sight wireless link from the Wi-Fi access point to them. A good solution for this is the wireless client antenna that is often included in larger access points. If this is not included, then the recommended distance from the base station is 20 metres.
How do I connect my GL mt1300?
I bought a new GL MT1300 last weekend. I haven't connected the head unit in yet. I just want to see if this is a head unit that supports wireless audio out. I was wondering if anyone can answer a few questions for me. 1. What do I need to connect the head unit for wireless audio out. Is it necessary to buy the cable that it came with? 2. What does the on/off switch do? Is it suppose to control the power to the head unit, as well as turning the radio and CD player on and off? 3. How much does an extra antenna cost. Does it require any special mounting? 4. When I plug the cable into my GL it turns on when the radio and CD player are on, but only if the radio or CD player is turned on. Is this normal? Thanks in advance for the help.
Re: ? Originally Posted by jjoejoe17. I'm having the same problem. So far I don't see any info anywhere about wirless audio on these units. If your going to upgrade you should think about buying the "new standard" one instead of the "upgraded" one. This way if your wanting a "back to the future" unit (meaning backwards compatible) you wont have to buy a special connector to plug into your car. You can take it into your favorite stereo store and tell them you want a new standard unit and they'll replace your headunit for free.
What is the default password for GL inet mt1300?
I have a computer that is connected to the internet via an ADSL modem, and it has 3 network cards. I am able to access the web through the internet connection on the modem, and the ethernet ports. I also can access my computer from my mobile phone. However, I cannot get internet to any of the other 3 network cards. The one that I want to use is the inet mt1300. However, when I type in the default password for this card, nothing happens. I have tried many combinations of numbers and letters. All of them have not worked. Does anyone know what the default password is? I have read online that it is different for every modem. My modem is an Eci Net Xtreme. Thanks.
The default password for your modem is typically alphanumeric characters such as "1234". The password for your inet MT1300 is different than the password for your ADSL modem. This is common for all 3-port ADSL modems because they all use the same IP address but the port configuration varies. The default password is 1234 for all 3-port ADSL modems. You can view the default password by logging into the IP address shown on the modem's interface. Use "Password" as the command.
There are many different 3-port ADSL modems. The ones I would be most familiar with are from NetComm.com, Belkin, Cisco, Eci Net, Lucent, 3Com, and Sierra Wireless.
The default password is usually set to 1234. If you don't have that password, then you'll need to call your ISP and ask for the password. They will probably reset it to 1234. If they won't do that, you'll need to contact your equipment manufacturer. Usually, the default password is the serial number of your modem.
If you don't have the default password, you'll need to call your ISP and ask for it. Typically, if you look at the manual, you'll find the default password somewhere on the front or back of the manual.
If you are unable to determine the default password, or the default password doesn't work, you will need to use a different password. You can use the command "set passwd" to change the password.
