How fast is Asus AX3000?
It's not going to be the fastest gaming mouse out there. It's not even going to be the fastest budget gaming mouse out there. But it's a damn good mouse. The one big selling point of the AX3000 is the price: 89.99/ That's a lot of money for a gaming mouse, but the thing is, if you spend 80 on a gaming mouse, that's a great return on your money. In fact, you might even get a better mouse than this Asus AX3000.
We have been using it for a while now and it's pretty much the perfect mouse for me. I like the thumb buttons (because they're a bit more responsive), I like the two sided scroll wheel (because I can control my mouse better with it than with the standard scroll wheel). But most importantly, I like the fact that it's cheap. And that's why it's the mouse I'm going to recommend to you in this review.
Build quality. Let's start with the most important thing: the build quality. The Asus AX3000 is built like a tank. It's sturdy and reliable and you'll get a long, long life out of it.
The side of the mouse is mostly plastic, although there are some parts where you can feel a metal plate. These parts are mostly where the buttons are, which makes sense because they're attached with screws. The only thing that's quite noticeable is the weight of the mouse. It's a bit heavier than most mice of its size, especially for something that's designed to be a budget gaming mouse. But the overall weight of the mouse doesn't bother me too much, and that's probably because I'm used to really big mice, like the Razer Deathadder.
The mouse itself has rubber feet on it. They're not very noticeable, but they do make the mouse sit a little more stable when you're using it.
So overall, the build quality is good. Which makes it a good mouse for people who don't want to spend a lot of money on a mouse, because it's something you can use for years.
Is Asus AX3000 worth it?
Are there any reviews or comparisons with the Asus AX3000? I'm curious how does the product hold up for users. I'm planning to buy a new wireless display adapter, but it's hard for me to know whether this product is worth it. It seems to be at an okay price point in comparison to other options on Amazon. I have a feeling that this product would be a better deal if there was either a coupon code you could get as a rebate or if it were cheaper.
I want to know if I am being tricked into buying a product, or whether I am receiving good value for money. I don't have a lot of money, so I am wondering how this item compares against products in similar price ranges.
You said you're looking to buy a new one, would you be satisfied just using what your computer provides for Wifi? or do you need a full on device? As in if you're moving stuff around the house, would this not suffice? Is there enough options for Wifi for you? Most devices I can see have a max of 5, but there are also some that list 20. Thanks for the comments so far, I appreciate it. My router is right next to the TV - when it is connected to my laptop via the HDMI port, it is quite nice. It is really simple. The connection speed isn't too bad either.
However, I'd like a wireless display so that when I'm away from my PC, it works well without having to connect a cable to it. In terms of having a full device - well I guess if it's expensive then I'll need to find a more worthwhile reason to buy it. The main reason is to use the internet from the big screen.
In terms of the wifi options, I think the number really depends on how good your wifi setup currently is. For example, I live by the seaside and a lot of the connection strength that I will be getting from my wifi will be significantly weaker than the connections that I get from my land-based router. So having a range of 20 that you don't need is not very useful to me. So what you need to know will depend on where your router is located, which you have probably figured out already.
If I were buying the AX3000, then the Asus ones are the best sellers on Amazon with over 400 positive reviews.
Is the RT-AX3000 a modem and router?
Hi All. I just purchased a RT-AX3000 because a customer I have for over 10 years has had one for at least 8 years and they are a great service. They just recently had their modem die in the middle of the night and so she turned the router on and found that the line was working. I know because my connection is fine. The question I have is when the RT-AX3000 has been on, would it also be possible to have a computer with a broadband modem connect to it? In other words, could you do everything the person with the RT-AX3000 does? I read somewhere that all three have to be on when a PC is connected but I am unsure if that is correct. Let me know.
We use an Ax3000 (RT-AX3600) in both of our offices, in tandem with 2 computers with USB modems, a wireless USB modem and our cell phone for internet connectivity. We have always had 3 active adapters connecting to 3 cable connections, a coaxial cable serving the second office to the network we are connected to. However, each computer has its own cable directly connected to the cable modem so it doesn't require a central Ethernet connection. We have never had a problem of connectivity unless were away from the phone jack. All this said, the RT-AX3600 is also able to function as a WLAN router and allows the other computers in our home office to pick up the signal via Wifi.
The RT-AX3000 is designed as a router, but will also allow your computer to access the internet without having to be connected to the RT-AX3000. In my experience, most people think that the router is what they purchase but then find out later that they really should have bought a modem. It makes more sense to order the parts separately, in case you need to replace the router or modem, which is the expensive part.
Hi Mike,I don't own one of these. I can see how one would not realize this. My previous router, the Belkin was used to access my computer through the home network. My husband and I are currently using my laptop wirelessly from work. One of my friends has one of these, and I use her router at my job and it doesn't allow the wirelessly internet from work. It says on her website it supports USB, but mine doesn't.
