How do I get rid of extensions blocked by administrator?

I have tried everything I can think of. Tried uninstalling the extention, uninstalling chrome and reinstalling, tried deleting .config and .user and restarting the browser. I cannot get rid of the extensions that are blocked by administrator. I have tried doing a system restore. I have reset my passwords and logged in as a different user. I have not been able to get any of these to work.

Can someone please help me? I don't want to have to reinstall my computer just to use google. I keep reading and seeing stories like this one about "how to get an extension working in Chrome. But, I also keep seeing lots of "why it's blocked in chrome", "can't get Chrome Extension to run in." posts without any answer about why an extension is blocked in chrome.

So my question is: Why does an extension not work in chrome? What is going on under the hood? I know you can't ask people in general or in theory, what is going on, but here we have a very specific situation. I am using chrome 42.0.2311.137 m. And the extension I am using is uzbl 1.16.

The extension works fine when I run it with Chrome Dev Tool () and it looks like it runs without any problem. But, when I try to use it, there's no error or warning, just the blank page. No message or any other kind of explanation is given, not even "You do not have permission to view this content".

Even more, when I use other browser like Opera or Firefox and open the extension, works fine, but when I open chrome, he does not run. I don't see any error message at all, not even when I use other extension that I've already run and seen works ok.

If you're talking about a particular chrome-extension specifically, you can add it to the extension manager and set the permissions on the extensions management page. This is done through chrome://extensions/ (you can use the file:// protocol to link directly to it instead if you'd rather).

In addition to this, you can also do the same via the command line by running the following from any directory in your system: chrome.exe extensions:manager Once you're here, click the button at the top that looks like three dots, which is just below the toolbar.
