How to extract text from HTML?

Hello. I have a simple webpage in my html editor, which contains 2 HTML tags. The first tag contains

some text

and the second tag contains

some text

. My problem is that I want to extract only the first text, which is in the first tag. You can do it using BeautifulSoup. From bs4 import BeautifulSoup. Soup = BeautifulSoup(yourhtmlcode). Print(soup.find('h1').gettext())
If you want to remove all the other tags you can do this: import re. Soup = BeautifulSoup(yourhtmlcode). Re.sub(r'<.>', '', soup.body.strip())

How do I copy text from a website that Cannot be copied?

For instance I do not see a link anywhere, where you copy the code of the website. Please tell me! :) The URL will always go as plain text (not HTML). On that same page you can put a bookmark there so you can click and get the page copy-able any time. (This is a very nice feature that I hope Microsoft keeps around forever). Try google.com too, and Google will usually do fine if your browser doesn't know how to handle text that can be copied.
