Does Surfshark work on Windows 11?

I have a question about the Surfshark VPN. I have used the Surfshark VPN for some time now on my laptop but it appears that they just re-released their service on Windows 10 and have now taken down their previous pages for Windows 10. Is anyone aware of any updates or how they can still get this working?

I am not an expert on VPN services but this one does seem to be more popular than most others (at least in Australia) so I hope they can answer this. A lot of people use Surfshark because they are free and they have a good range of features, which is great. It's great because if you are looking for something a bit cheaper, there are no alternatives (at least not that I know of).

However, when I was looking into their service, they appeared to only have an app for Mac and Linux, but no Windows. This left me a bit confused, especially since they said their app would automatically work on Windows 10, but it doesn't. I had assumed that by now they would have updated their app to work with Windows 10.

To answer your question directly: yes, Surfshark's Windows app works on Windows 10. As far as the reason why they don't have a Windows app, it's the fault of the client who built the app. They made the app, Surfshark bought it, and then the client just kept building the app and updating it, with no new features, so Surfshark decided to remove the app.

Surfshark's Windows app was always buggy, slow, and not even stable (the UI itself was always buggy), so they didn't bother to keep it updated. But here is the good news: the Windows app works fine on Windows 10! The Mac app is very limited in what it can do. For example, if you use "Share my connection" you need to use a Mac to share the connection. With the Windows app you can share the connection from anywhere.

I'm not really a Windows user, so I don't know if they allow using a different browser. I use a Chromebox and the Surfshark VPN works well. I've also used a windows PC and got good speed. I didn't notice any difference in speed between the 2, so that's great.

Why is Surfshark not working on my laptop?

It seems like Surfshark doesn't work on my laptop. It shows the logo and the spinning circle with the time remaining but when I click the "Try now" button, it just goes back to the homepage of surfshark.com. This happened on both Chrome and Firefox. I tried downloading the "Surfshark Lite" version, but it says "You have an incompatible version of the Surfshark client installed." I need to know what I can do to make Surfshark work on my laptop.

The error messages you mentioned (below) could be related to the problems that you are having. You should also try to update your Surfshark client to the latest version.

You can check whether or not Surfshark is working properly by visiting in a web browser. Is there any other way I can check whether it's working or not? What happens if you try to install the software again and see if it works? I've been using Surfshark for a couple of months now and it is working fine. The only thing I don't like is the fact that you can't select the country you want to surf from, it always defaults to the United States, which is not my country. Other than that it's working fine.
