About this error message: If you receive this error message you have just installed Stremio on a computer that has the Windows 8 operating system. Unfortunately the Stremio website and the installer aren t compatible with the Windows 8 operating system, so when you try to run the application on a Windows 8 computer, you will be presented with this error message. This error doesn t mean that Stremio isn t compatible with your computer, it simply means that Stremio s installer is incompatible with your Windows operating system. You will find additional information regarding Windows 8 here . Please note that the installer is only compatible with the 32-bit versions of the operating system.
You can install Stremio on a Windows 8 64-bit operating system by downloading our full installation package here . The video stream is encrypted with a certain protocol called DRM which stands for digital rights management . It lets copyright owners require users to have an approved device in order to play the content they purchased from the online store.
In order to play all the videos on the web, Stremio needs to be able to decrypt the stream. In case the video player that you use to watch the videos is not compatible with DRM, you will only be able to play the videos that are not protected by DRM, like videos available on video sharing websites . Unfortunately we don t currently have any solution to provide this functionality to users of the Windows 8 operating system. We are aware that the Windows 8 operating system is very popular and that a lot of people have already upgraded their computers with Windows 8 .
Why does it say no streams were found on Stremio?
I have tried reinstalling and it didn't help
Hello,I'm trying to stream movies from my computer to a TV using Windows 10 x64 (64-bit) and Stremio Premium version 3.3, I already tried to follow the official support's guidelines but it doesn't work.
I followed the guide on this link: I have installed the Stremio on my PC (Windows 7 x32) and Stremio on my TV (Windows 7 x64). I tried to choose the path of the movies I want to stream by typing the name in the search box, but the program keeps showing me this message, no streams found on Stremio: Is there a way to fix it? (It shouldn't be a problem with the TV or the PC because it works with other programs, such as Netflix and Vudu, but Stremio won't recognize the streams.) I have tried reinstalling and it didn't help. Edit: Here is what I had typed on my TV: Stremio on TV. (the video). TV settings. Streams are located in /media/tvhddc5b/My Documents. The same problem happens with my PC. Edit 2: Sorry, I don't know how to edit my files because my system can't detect my USB.
Is Stremio still working?
Yes - I just started using it, and it works as good as you say it does.
It's very simple, which is good because it is meant for very first time customers.
It's good enough, though my wife still doesn't want to use it, she wants to buy movies on iTunes. It has a bad habit of making "bumping" into every other player or device that is on the network in any way. You could be watching a game, or viewing pictures/videos/playlist - any one of those and Stremio will just make it "jump" into that device and attempt to do it's auto-sync routine again. It then gets annoying very quickly, at least for me it did. Not much you can do with it without hacking it up in ways I'm not sure I want to try.
I used to use it on my wife's LG TV but when that died I just left it out and let it auto-sync every 15 minutes, it seemed to work ok. I have no idea if it's possible to configure "stremio-only" accounts to not sync automatically, but I don't remember seeing it in the settings. If anyone's on Android, please confirm that setting. I tried playing music one of my phones and got exactly the same behaviour I described above. It was a pain.
I have some good news and some bad news about the issue that happened yesterday. The good news is that we're releasing a new version today that includes fixes for the bumping issue (you should no longer bump into other clients in networks that were in the list when the problem occurred) and for our servers. We believe we've found a solution for the bumping problem, so the fix should apply automatically if you update, or manually if you want to force it now.
The bad news is that you'll have to wait until tomorrow morning for your update to download to your Stremio device. This fix does NOT mean that Stremio will be working fine from this point on, unfortunately. For the most part, the bumping problem remains an issue, so we'd like to be able to do better. Our goal is to keep improving the client while keeping the bumps to a minimum, and the current client solves these issues well for the majority of our users, but it still has some bugs.
How do I enable addons on Stremio?
Add-ons are an exciting feature of Stremio that enables you to add features such as a browser, a file manager and more.
This can be done via either the website or through the mobile app. For this guide, we'll focus on how to get the add-ons to show up in the main menu so you can begin using it.
Get started - The most convenient way to get started is to enable Add-ons on the website. Here, simply click the 'Add-ons' tab (on mobile the tab is at the top) and click the button that says 'Install'. The browser will launch and a new window will appear on your screen. You will need to add the URL for Stremio's new Add-ons store. Once you add this URL, the browser window will load additional content from the store. It will then ask you to sign in with your existing user account or create a new one. Once you're signed in, the Add-ons page will load and ask you what you'd like to do: Enable, Disable or Refresh. It is advised that you select 'Enable', but if you wish to disable the browser and other features, you can select 'Disable'. When you select 'Refresh' you will not see any new icons under the Add-ons tab until they have been added. Once they have been refreshed you will be shown the new Add-ons again. The browser itself is already enabled so you can begin using it. The same process is true for the mobile app. If you go to the add-ons tab, you will see the Add-on icon, followed by a refresh button. Clicking this button should bring up the browser and show the web page as it did above.
From the website to your mobile device - Now that you've successfully downloaded the browser and enabled the Add-ons, you're ready to sync it between your mobile device and the website. When you're on the website, click the 'Add-ons' tab at the top and you should see a list of Add-ons just like when you launched the browser.
Click on the icon for the browser that you have installed on your mobile device and it will bring you to a web page where you will need to log in to your account. Enter your username and password and click 'Login'.
You should be now successfully synchronized.
