Why does NordVPN not work on Netflix anymore?
It is so annoying to me that I have to use a VPN when I'm watching movies or series. Why doesn't Netflix offer their own VPN server? This question is not new. It is something I get asked over and over again. You see, with Netflix you have to use a VPN or you can't access the content you want to. And it is true that the content you want to watch is blocked by the Netflix server.
If you are able to bypass this restriction you are using a VPN. In that case it does not matter whether you use Netflix or a VPN. Because if you are using a VPN there is nothing Netflix can do to stop you.
The thing is that Netflix does not use a public VPN server. It uses its own VPN server. If you are able to bypass this restriction you are using a VPN.
What is NordVPN? NordVPN is a VPN provider based in Panama. It is completely legal and is fully licensed. They offer a lifetime subscription to their service. The pricing is also very affordable.
What do they offer? NordVPN offers a lot of different services to their customers. They have a lot of servers in many countries around the world. You can choose between a single device and a multi-device plan. You can even save money on your subscription if you choose to pay for a longer period of time.
How does NordVPN work? In this article I will focus on NordVPN and their own VPN server. But if you are interested in the other services of NordVPN then you can read this article.
When you visit the website of NordVPN you will see that the content that you are looking for is blocked by the Netflix server. But if you are able to access the content via a VPN then it is possible that the content is also not blocked by the VPN server.
This means that the VPN server can forward your request for a certain movie or series to the Netflix server. And the Netflix server will then decide if you are allowed to watch the movie or series.
If it says yes, you are able to watch the movie or series. If it says no you will get a message like this: When you are connected to a VPN the Netflix server does not know where you are located. It only knows your location in the VPN network.

Why doesn t my VPN work on Netflix iPhone?
And why would you want to use a VPN anyway if your IP is already masked by Tor? Your answer might surprise you. If you live in countries like the US, India, UAE, or Canada, you may find that Netflix simply requires that your machine be from an IP that has been routed through a VPN. You can get that same experience by connecting to VPN.com instead of directly connecting to Netflix.
How can I know if Netflix is routing my traffic through my VPN or directly? First, there is no need to do anything to test this; Netflix will tell you. When you first connect to their site and enter your account information, scroll down to Settings and then View Network Status. You should see your public IP listed. Your IP address may change depending on whether you are connected to a VPN or directly (if you are connected through the VPN), but it will always indicate your public IP.
If you have ever used a proxy server for any other reason besides to mask your public IP address, then you may have previously been using a form of proxy and you may remember the IP address you were assigned. Use the steps above to find your real IP address.
Next, sign into your Netflix account with that IP address. Scroll down to Settings again, and you should see the Public IPv6 Address listed there.
Why does it say my public IP address when my home IP is private? Netflix says the public IP because your system cannot directly reach that IP address. You may connect to a VPN at home and then you would use the public IP address that your VPN assigned. The reason they use the public IP address is because many ISP's will block connections from private IP addresses that are used directly for the Internet.
If you are using a VPN at home that is configured properly for Netflix (as described above) and you click Continue, you will be assigned a public IP address and will see the above. I use a VPN for other reasons. Why does Netflix still require that I use a public IP address? The Netflix website says that the public IP address requirement is needed because it cannot reliably identify your real IP address. You can read more about the issues that surround your IP address and how Netflix deals with it, and how you can protect yourself, here.
Why can't i get NordVPN to work with Netflix?
I've tried the 'no-announce' flag but still doesn't work. Also, on my second computer that uses the same account, it works just fine.
For you to not be able to get Netflix, that indicates a problem between your computer and Netflix servers. You might have changed something on your computer. You can try deleting all of your Netflix cookies and setting cookies again. If you're using Chrome, you can also turn off Chrome's caching of cookies and try again.
What is the latest that is in /userdata/nordvpn? This will have logs for when it was connected to Netflix. My problem is that Netflix is giving me the "unavailable" message for NordVPN even though it connects just fine otherwise. I have no way to get logs, although the logfile in /userdata/nordvpn says it's connected.
As to the cache issue, on one machine, I did delete all of the cache from Chrome and restarted it, and I had zero problems watching Netflix with two different IPs at the same time. With the other machine, I have already deleted the cookies and am just trying to watch Netflix again and it still shows "unavailable" even though the connection seems to be working fine otherwise. It may be my configuration settings, but there shouldn't be any difference if it worked or not a couple weeks ago.
How do I get my VPN to work on Netflix on my Iphone?
I just got an Iphone X and have been trying to get my VPN to work on Netflix. I've tried both the app (appstore) and the google play version. The app says it's connected and gives me the options to play content from the USA, Australia and Canada but it won't let me view content from other countries. I've also tried the Google play version and the same thing happens. The app says it's connected, has content and that I can watch whatever I want but I can't. Any help would be appreciated.
The only way I can watch Netflix with a VPN is by using a VPN on my computer and not my phone. I have the VPN app on my computer and my phone but I still can't watch anything on Netflix. I'm not sure if my VPN on my computer is blocking or something because it's still working fine for everything else. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
The problem is that it's trying to use a VPN on the device itself and not the device you're trying to connect to. So it's being blocked by your VPN provider, not the VPN you're using. So the fix is to find a VPN that doesn't block Netflix. If you don't want to pay for a VPN on the device itself, you can always pay for a VPN on your computer or router and connect to it.
That's pretty much what I figured. I'm assuming that I could use the VPN app on my phone and connect it to my router and use that as my VPN instead of my computer?
