Which is the best app to track family members?

I would like to know what is the best way to keep track of family members when they visit my home.

I am thinking of a way that can make it easier for them to tell the time that they are at home. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

This is just a general question. What is the best app that can be used for this. I want a system where it can track who comes to my home or phone, for example. The home is not large and we do not have a lot of visitors. I would like to know what apps I could use. I am looking for something that is easy to install on all devices. My phone is a Samsung Note 4.

I like this app because of the privacy settings. It has a timer. Also It shows you which one of your family member entered the home.

I don't know if the android app works well. Here is a different way to do the same thing. You could use an Android Home or motion sensor with Wi-Fi.e. With these you can monitor whether someone enters or exits the home, as well as how long he stays inside.

You could then put in a timer so it will turn off the alarm if it has been more than 1 hour. Another way to do it is with an X10 gateway such as SmartThings. You can program it to work with anything else you may have, but I have not tried it. There are many other options such as a webcam, keypad, motion sensors, etc. If you are not into technology a lot of these can be turned into timers.

There are a few things to consider such as what is your budget and what sort of device are you trying to keep track of. If your budget is low you can use a motion sensor with Wi-Fi that is connected to an app on your smartphone. If you have a more moderate budget, then maybe you could do something with a webcam and program the app to work with it. Another option is to get a motion sensor and add a little bit of programming with an Arduino. This would be a bit more expensive and require some wiring, but it can be done.
