How do I install Mullvad on my PC?

I'd like to run the servers on my home PC and have a backup of all my files, but I've never tried to install a VPN server on a home PC before.

Mullvad looks like it'll work fine on my Ubuntu 12.04 system.

I'm assuming that the Mullvad package can be used in the same way as the other apps I've installed such as vino and openvpn. Do I need to do any configuring of the server after installation? Is it easy to connect from another computer if the server is not running? How would I configure the DNS servers for my domain name? Can someone explain how to configure the router/modem for Mullvad? It's not an option for me to get a home phone line, so I want to use my PC with the connection that I currently have. Do I just use the Mullvad VPN server config file? And then I can connect to my network at work with the VPN server running on my home PC? Is there a guide somewhere for setting up Mullvad that explains all this? You probably will want to have at least a separate static IP address for your home computer. The IP address should be on the same subnet as the router/modem - and if you have a static IP address, you won't need a dynamic DNS service or VPN server.

When you have a static IP address, you can use the Mullvad configuration file (it's named something like 'mullvad.conf') and just copy the two lines of "auto" at the top, the one "auto" and the one "use-v4", which is the server IP address you want to connect to. You also add a bit of extra info, "use-tls", which tells Mullvad whether to use SSL for the connection. If Mullvad knows about your certificate, it will know you are safe. Otherwise, you'll see a warning message. If you don't set up a certificate, you should get a warning message anyway.

The rest of the lines are optional. The "log" and "use-debug" ones tell you where the logs go. The server IP address can be changed by using the right-click button on the server. The server can also be renamed.

How do I download Mullvad on my Mac?
