How do I disable proxy VPN in Chrome?

How do I disable VPN proxy?

I want to use a vpn in order to connect to the internet.

The vpn provider is: However, when I try to connect to the website, I get an error "An error occurred while trying to connect to the specified proxy server". However, if I turn off the vpn, I can connect without a problem. I do not want to use any vpn because it is a paid service, and I don't want to use a service that charges money for doing something so simple.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am using Windows 7.

Thank you. My ComputerYou need to have JavaScript enabled so that you can use this . Welcome to Tech Support Guy!Here's what we're going to do:1.) Disable VPN2.) Connect to the Internet

This is where my knowledge of Windows 7 is at a novice level. Do not do what I am about to say! I will show you how to use the network control panel. You will have to log in to the machine. If it asks for a password, just type in your password for any account. This is different than your password to access your computer. This is a very bad idea. If you are unsure how to log in, just google "Windows 7 login." Once logged in, open up the network control panel. The icon is a network icon that looks like an 8, with four lines. Right click it, select the properties. The left hand side has a tab for your adapter, then one for the IPv4 control panel. Check the box to enable the network adapter. To be honest, I'd just unplug the cable, wait a minute or two, and reconnect, but you don't have to be perfect. For some reason, the vpn server says "Connect to my website" when you click the vpn, but the browser gives you an error. I'm not sure why, but it happens frequently when I disable the VPN.

What does it mean VPN proxy should be disabled?

A VPN provides a network to you for the purpose of getting access to resources that you can't access otherwise.

It's a very common use for VPNs. If you are behind a firewall/proxy that blocks you from accessing a resource that requires authentication, you need a VPN.

There are many different types of VPNs, from private servers where you connect to your own, to the more public shared ones such as OpenVPN. The problem here is that the browser itself connects out via the proxy and not through the VPN, so you would have to unblock the browser as a way of testing whether it's blocking the correct site or just the one you're connected to. I suggest contacting the IT department for your company and asking if they block certain websites based on the IP address. Edit: If it's your own VPN provider that's blocking it, I'd try unblocking the site using the IP address in the headers of the http request sent from the client side to the server. This will not work if it's an upstream service/provider like your ISP but you should still be able to confirm the source IP.
