Can anyone access the Reddit API?
I would like to use it to show a count of posts per day on my website.
I have tried searching but haven't found any information on how to access the API. Thanks in advance.
The answer is "no", as per their documentation, which states: No, only authenticated users can access the Reddit API. Anyone can view an authenticated user's API calls, but they cannot change or otherwise alter them.
A reddit API user may access your website, but you are not allowed to access their reddit accounts. They may choose to access your website, but cannot see anything else about themselves.
What is the Reddit API rate limit?
You can't be a 100% honest user.
The Reddit API Rate Limit: "For every request made to the Reddit API, we place a cap on the number of requests that you can make. When you exceed your request limit, you will receive an error response from Reddit."
