Why does it say I Cannot connect to Netflix?
on Google when I try to play it.
I am unable to play any of my Amazon Prime on my Google Chromecast. I used to watch movies on Netflix and have a Prime membership. My Netflix app says it cannot connect to the service. I think it must have a problem in the network but cannot think of what is causing it.
Google Chromecast doesn't work with Amazon Prime Video. Unfortunately I have the same thing.99 a month just so I can use it for 30 days at a time.I really feel ripped off but I do plan on returning it and getting one of the ones that are sold direct and has an HDMI socket so that I can use my Chromecast with it(in Europe at least). So hopefully one day they will make this work again.
Has anybody experienced the latest security holes? It seems that all the media websites are down due to massive hacking.Ive been having issues since yesterday and it doesnt seem like its going to get any better. Any advice or tips?
Answer:Hacking Websites? Youtube Not loading anymore. Check your Internet connection. Some ISPs are experiencing a problem with their DSL and cable lines. If you are affected you may need to download the entire library of TV shows from DVD or something. If you download from Netflix, iTunes, or Amazon it won't be able to keep up. Check the forums here for information: problem may not be fixed overnight, especially if you live in the NY area. You should try another link that doesn't appear to be down.
I had to uninstall VLC. It did not recognize the Google Chromecast's input. When I installed it from the repository, it was able to handle the streaming video.
When I run both Chrome and VLC together it doesn't work, however if I only open Chrome, and then run VLC by itself (separate processes) the audio works through VLC. Answer:No audio out of Google Chromecast - but working VLC alone!
Why does Netflix say no internet connection when I have internet?
I have an issue with my Roku that has recently begun, where Netflix will say no internet connection when I have internet. I'm on a wireless connection and am connected to the internet via ethernet. I have tried using another computer and can stream just fine. My network's IP address is static and isn't changeable. I also cannot connect to the internet directly, because it will say there is no internet connection. My internet provider and Roku work together, so it's hard to pinpoint what's going on. I just don't know why it would say no internet connection when I have internet. I've looked everywhere for answers and none of the suggestions I found are working. Any ideas?
It's a known problem with the Roku: Roku Netflix says No Internet Connection. The solution is very simple: First thing, go to your router and make sure that you have port forwarding setup correctly for port 80 (http) and port 443 (https). It's easier to do this with a wired connection, but it works on wireless too. You need to forward these ports from your router to the internal IP of your Roku. In your case, it would be the IP address of the Roku.
Why is Netflix suddenly not working on my TV?
I have all the updates.
I'm here to help: I've been there. It's just that Netflix is not working right now on your TV. You probably have a couple of options for how to fix this, including doing an update and reinstall of Netflix (I recommend the update) or temporarily fixing it by going to Netflix's site in your browser and following their instructions to change your User Agent. You might also be able to try and re-register your device, so go to your TV and hit the power button twice. When you see the Netflix logo, hit the button again and select sign in or sign in and register, that should hopefully fix it.
That said, let's tackle the more complex issue of the Netflix app being stuck. There's a few reasons that could be the case: Your Roku might be updating, or you might not be in your account on a device that's in your account. Make sure you're logged in and in the right account.
Your login is failing or you can't get in, maybe you are changing credentials on Netflix. You have an ad blocker installed and are trying to watch something through Netflix. Go to your home screen or Settings > General > Content and turn off your ad blocker if you have one. If you don't have one installed, we're not responsible.
Here's how to fix the other three scenarios: Your Roku is updating: To find out what device is in your account, go to Settings > Account then scroll down to ROKU and look in the device list to see if it says Roku or any other device. If it says Roku but another device is in your account, that's probably the culprit.
When my Roku is updating, the icon will have a solid green bar on it, but all the little menu items in the center column will be red. You can either wait until it's complete or restart the device by hitting the power button twice. (Roku 4k owners please note you may need to hold the power button until the LED starts to flash fast, rather than just quickly double pressing it.)
The update itself can take anywhere from 30 seconds to 10 minutes.
