How do I fix access denied on this server?
I have a domain hosted on godaddy and I can access it via my laptop and another computer in my office. I just installed the server and I can't figure out how to fix the "Access denied" message I get when I try to access the server. I can ping it fine, but when I type it into the browser it just says "Access denied".
How do I fix this? I think this is a Godaddy question, but it's on my server so I don't know how to contact them. I can SSH into the server fine. Your web server may have an .htaccess file, that denies the access to the public files. You will find out if you look at the access logs of your web server.
Try accessing the log file and see if you get a valid answer. If you get a valid answer, but still you cant see anything, try accessing the log file using the full url of your site (something like ). If you get a different response (ie error), you may need to do some additional configuration.
If you dont get a valid answer, please post the actual URL that returns the error.
How do I fix access denied on my phone?
I found that after I deleted some files, I've got another problem - access denied for every folder and file in my SD Card. I'm able to find this folders with explorer but not from my phone (which is rooted).
This is my phone: samsung j1, if that helps. UPDATE. Here's my SDcard - it's ext4. And my root file - it's hidden and read-only. What else is supposed to be there? If I remove everything from the root directory it works fine. The funny thing is when my phone get's this error, it works fine a few minutes later. But then I'm back to the problem again.
UPDATE 2. I have to run sync before every time. Then it works OK.
I guess I should reboot if the sync is stuck. From what I have found, if the phone has root access, the problem will go away if you delete the following hidden files/folders on SD card: SDcard -> rwc -> hidden and read-only file. SDcard -> rwc-lm -> root file. And then reboot. After the reboot, every other folder or file you had problem accessing before can be read and writen properly. But if you are accessing hidden file/folder before rebooting, this problem might come back without solution.
If you really need to access that file/folder before rebooting, you can try adding your user name to the list of the groups that the owner of the SDcard folder or you can add your user name to the group 'sdcard' in the file system, but, as far as I know, this will add the user to the group sdcard but I'm not sure about their effects on the file permissions.
What does access denied mean on phone?
I know everyone has seen this many times here and probably some other times on any site and asked and not gotten answer. It seems like if you go to a pay web site on your cell phone there is a chance of getting an access denied. It will happen often enough it seems like it must have to be common but when I search for it I always get the "we couldn't get access" or similar thing. Does anyone know if this is really access denied? Is the server down or what's going on? If you can help me figure this out I would really appreciate it and maybe this information can save a lot of other people a lot of time too. Thanks!
Re: ? Try to be more specific, do you mean a call or a web page? We can only offer you general answers and then we must leave up to you to determine that by looking at your connection and reading what it says. A web page (not from your cell phone, but from a phone you pay for or use Internet access through) will give a generic page stating access denied.
Thank you all. I would actually like to be able to try it myself but what I have seen so far from others seems really vague. When I ask the service they tell me to ask them. The only way to get answer I have found so far is to keep asking them and see if they repeat a question. In some cases they will even try to fix it, but all I seem to get for it is some weird message back to me or worse than that some sort of automated reply telling me that they cannot answer my question because they could not connect to my computer or something. That's what I have found so far so I don't know if I should be worried. But, I guess I do not really care as long as I do not spend any money using one of these services. I just keep trying to learn how to get more info. Like I said when they get this error it happens a few times at least. Not always though. Anyway the whole question got me to take a break from all my troubles and hopefully I will start studying from tomorrow :) I'm sure I am confusing everyone now :) thanks for your help everyone!
Why does my phone say access denied for certain websites?
My phone is running Android 4.1.2. I have the "Unknown Sources" option enabled in my phone's settings. I have added a bunch of websites to my allowed list in my phone's settings.
I have a Droid 4 running 4.2 with "Unknown Sources" enabled. I have tried several times to add sites like youtube, amazon, etc. That I frequently visit to my list of "allowed sites" but I keep getting access denied messages. I even tried clearing the cache and then tried to add it again but still no luck.
Well I can't help you anymore, I tried to add the list of sites and got the access denied message and I can't get it to work either. Thanks for your help. Try clearing the list of sites first. If that doesn't work, try going into "Settings -> Security -> Factory Reset". Once that is complete, add the sites you want to.
I'm having a similar issue and I just tried the above method of resetting, which did not fix it. I also tried doing a factory reset (which didn't work either) and then reinstalling the Google apps. All without luck.
What kind of phone are you using? I just updated to 4.1 on my Moto X and now it says that many of my google apps are missing.
