Set up your router. The first thing you want to do is get your router working. You will need a working internet connection to get it to work, so make sure your internet provider is connected to the modem and the router is on the internet.

There was always someone selling such a thing, but they had very limited features at a very high cost, so the majority of users didn't choose to do so. Eventually, the developers of OpenVPN realized they could make something free and simple that is fully functional.

Why is that? Is this a money-making scheme? No. There are no advertisements or any kind of fees. The server software has been tested and shown to work on millions of computers. I do not charge because the users have asked me to.

Why does this site say that you have created OpenVPN "in cooperation" with the NSA? What's the point of saying this, and how are you associated with them? I didn't say "in cooperation" with the NSI never have. I think it is best to be as honest as possible. To create a server that is 100% open source, I am not afraid to use any kind of software. This would allow you to know exactly what I've created.

Some would say that you're a "fake" because you are making a VPN software that is so easy to use. Why the need for special hardware and "expensive" solutions? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the VPN in the first place? It doesn't matter if you have expensive equipment or cheaper equipment. It all depends on your environment.
