How do you remove proxy so I can connect to Wi-Fi?

How to turn off proxy?

I have a domain hosted with Bluehost and a free vpn using pptl. I have both pointed to the same IP address and port (8080). I am able to connect through the VPN when I'm on my machine and access the website hosted on my domain through the browser. However, whenever I try to access the domain from outside (eg. From work or from a friend's phone), the connection is redirected to the proxy and it does not work. I am also unable to access any other websites or domains using the proxy.

How do I go about disabling the proxy? Here's the output of ifconfig: eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:22:c5:e2:ab:1b. inet addr:192.168.109 Bcast:192.255 Mask:255.0

How do I remove proxy from my mobile Wi-Fi?

I have this Nokia Lumia 820. I've been connected to the internet through the 3G network and it worked fine but a day ago I started having problems in the connection and so I found out that I was being blocked by a Proxy Server. The Wi-Fi is set up as an AP which is not connected to any network and it's working fine but how do I get rid of the Proxy Server that's blocking me? I've been reading about IP filters and stuff but none of that worked. I can't see anything on the phone settings about a proxy server. Please help!

If you have the same problem and want to disable the proxy in windows 7 or 8 and you are using a mobile broadband connection please follow these steps: Start your windows and enter the command prompt (Run as administrator). In the cmd, type the following command (replace with the ip address of your router) : netsh int ipv4 set proxy on. Press enter and exit. I'm not sure if it's still active, but if you're interested I found some info that might be helpful. I did the following and it worked for me. 1) Open the Windows firewall settings. 2) Click on "Open Port" for the port number to be opened (in my case it was 8080). 3) Click on "Add Rule". 4) Enter "Windows Management Instrumentation" and click OK. 5) Click on "New Rule". 6) Select "Select all rules and click OK". 7) Then, Click "Next". 8) Click "Finish"

How do you remove proxy so I can connect to Wi-Fi?

The way to get Wi-Fi working is by using your browser's settings to bypass a proxy server, which will let you access Internet through Wi-Fi.e. The easiest way to do this is probably to click on your browser's icon in the taskbar and look for proxy servers and turn them off.

If you're using Ubuntu, then you can also use Connectify-2 so that when you boot up your laptop, you'll get Internet right away. I recently upgraded from 12.04 to 12.10. Unfortunately, my wi-fi (as in WiFi) doesn't work now, after the upgrade. Any ideas? I want to be able to connect to my home wireless.

When I upgraded from 12.10, I had the same problem with my wireless. I ended up using a different operating system. If you have another operating system like windows 7 available, download the ISO and load it on that computer then reinstall Ubuntu. This time make sure you select "Install a minimal system" and then use the option "Install boot loader on a hard drive", the default one should work fine.
