Is it safe to share NordVPN?
I have used them for a while now and have never been banned or had anything happen so far.
But then again, I use their free version to connect from an unsecured computer that I use at home, so I guess I was kind of getting lucky.
I am mainly talking about the free version though, the one where you can share 1 IP address. Is it safe to share that? It is the case if you are on their free version. You have to get the premium version to be sure that they don't give up your money-making location.
We have a support team that monitors IP traffic. If a suspicious traffic pattern shows up with your IP address, we may ask the police to investigate.
Is my IP address visible with NordVPN? It's not visible on other websites but it's possible to view it by browsing to using our IP address viewer tool. So you are saying that my IP address is in that website? Like here: That's their IP address. It's not very revealing because 74.50.194.35 doesn't go directly to your computer. It has to go through their servers which means that it goes trough your Internet Service Provider first before reaching your computer.
I have read that you can access to the website without VPN if you already know where to look for but this does not work when you are using VPN. Why is that? The website IP addresses may or may not reflect your real IP address depending on your browser history settings. When browsing in a web browser you usually have your browser cache enabled. Some websites save IP addresses in cache automatically. When you browse in a web browser, even without a VPN, you are connected to a specific computer by default because the computer sends traffic to the IP address associated with it. However, if you make sure that cache is disabled while browsing, then the website IP will not be associated with your computer anymore.
How do I share my IP address? If you want to share your public IP address through VPN, there are many ways to do it and you need to make sure to follow the instructions precisely.
