Why can't i watch Netflix on mobile?

I have tried the new Netflix app for iOS and Android on a few different devices and my main problem is that I can't watch Netflix on my mobile device.

I have checked all the settings for VPN, proxy, mobile data, etc. The problem occurs whether I'm connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data. This is the most frustrating issue I've ever had with a tech company.

Why does this happen? I can watch Netflix on my laptop and my home computer with no issues. I have an LG G5 running Android 7.0.2. I have followed every step in the article and it just doesn't work. When I go to settings, Network, WiFi Settings, WiFi Network, I get an error message saying "You don't have permission to access this network."

I also tried using the mobile network (tethering) with the same results. I have checked all the settings in the app and in the browser as well as I've tried the solution in the comments of this thread. No luck.

I am so disappointed with Netflix right now. I thought they would fix it, but it seems they are ignoring the problems.

There is no way to force the use of the mobile network, which is what I was hoping for. I do not have a mobile network connection. I have a wifi connection and only use mobile data when I'm traveling. If I am on the road, I do not have access to the mobile network.

For Netflix, Android phones are simply not important enough to invest any time in developing compatible apps and services. They don't support the latest hardware features or other features that you can get on iOS and Windows devices. And that's fine. It's also why we don't really care if you're using an old phone or an expensive new one.

But then again, we haven't exactly given anyone a reason to buy the new iPad Pro or a Surface Book 2. Yet.

And if you want to buy those new hardware products, you're probably going to need to use the latest version of Netflix for iOS or Windows. Not the Android version.

Netflix is a service that doesn't depend on Android at all, but it does depend on Netflix's own app. And that's why I don't see the problem. The Android version of the app is no longer supported by Netflix. There's nothing wrong with that.

But the new iOS and Windows apps are still supported, so that's the version you'll need to download. I'm sure you've heard the argument before. Android is "just" a mobile OS. IOS and Windows are "just" mobile platforms. So why would Netflix care about it? Because they're still making money. Netflix's revenue comes from the apps and services they make. That's why they spend so much time and money building those apps and services.

How do I reset Netflix on my Android phone?
