How to create SOCKS5 proxy server Windows server?

I want to create a SOCKS5 proxy server on my windows server 2023. I have installed Socks-4.exe on the windows server. The server IP address is 192.168. I have tried to create a SOCKS5 proxy server on the server using the Socks-4.exe but I can't do it. I have also tried to use the NAT to create SOCKS5 proxy server but it doesn't work. I have also tried to use the Socks-4.exe but it doesn't work. How can I create a SOCKS5 proxy server on the windows server?

Socks-4.exe is a client, it doesn't work as a server. You need to install a socks 5 server:

If you need a Windows proxy server that supports SOCKS 5 or 5a, use wget with --proxy-server option: wget --proxy-server proxy.mydomain.com:1080
If you want to proxy a local service, you can use netcat to proxy the port: nc -l 8080. A SOCKS 5 proxy server is a server that listens on a specific port and implements the SOCKS protocol for authentication and tunneling. The client is what communicates directly with the Internet.

SOCKS 5 proxies are implemented in two different ways: Generic. The SOCKS 5 Generic proxy server requires that the proxy server be a source for the traffic and is thus not able to forward traffic from other servers. Tunneling. The SOCKS 5 Tunneling proxy server listens on a port for communication with other hosts and thus is capable of forwarding traffic. The SOCKS 5 Tunneling proxy server is typically used to tunnel traffic between the Internet and servers on a private network.

To create a SOCKS 5 proxy server, you need to install a SOCKS 5 proxy server. The SOCKS 5 proxy server is typically a server application and is installed on the server running the proxy server.

How do I set up a SOCKS5 proxy?

SOCKS5 proxies are used to allow your web browser to connect to a remote server as if it was another computer on your local network. Typically, you would connect to a SOCKS5 proxy server that is running on a web server that your web browser is already connected to. The proxy server is typically running on a web server. The proxy server is configured to be reachable from the internet. In order to access the proxy server, you need to configure your web browser to connect to it.

Is SOCKS better than VPN?

The short answer: Yes. The long answer: SOCKS is better than VPN for a variety of reasons: SOCKS is UDP-based, which means it's faster than TCP-based VPNs. SOCKS is a standard protocol, so it works with all protocols, including HTTP, IMAP, and others. SOCKS supports tunneling protocols like SSH, and VPN protocols like IPSec, L2TP, and PPTP. SOCKS can be used in conjunction with a VPN, or independently. SOCKS and VPNs are different from proxies, which are network level solutions. SOCKS and VPNs are application level solutions.

SOCKS and VPNs are different from firewalls, which are a network level solution. SOCKS and VPNs can be used with a variety of protocols, including HTTP, IMAP, and others.

How to create a proxy server for SOCKS?

I'm trying to get my Android device to connect to websites using the SOCKS protocol rather than the default HTTP protocol with the goal of running an SSH tunnel. I've tried using the inbuilt proxy functionality built into Android's settings, but it only allows connections through 3G networks (if I try to connect through WiFi, my connection fails).

I'm wondering if there's a way to set it up so that it treats the data like it would if I had used a 3G connection. Obviously I don't want to use the 3G connection for anything else on purpose, so I'm hoping there's a way to get the data to go through the Huawei WLAN.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be grateful. I figured it out. There is a specific Huawei option that you have to turn on explicitly, and then when it's turned on, it automatically makes the Android proxy settings expect to be connected through WLAN and bypass the 3G implicitly. Note that 3G is still used for other things, but it seems to ignore all the traffic otherwise. Also, activating this only worked with the Huawei browser (when you set the proxy, if you never tell it to reload the configuration, you still get the same cached configuration as before).

In the VPN setting on the main settings screen, hit the gear icon and find Proxy. All you have to do is turn on VPN via Wi-Fi and it'll work.

To get the browser to stop assuming HTTP connections through 3G, you need to manually tell it to reload its proxy config. This can be done by hitting reload at the top right of the browser page.

Change the settings in the Internet Protocol and Advanced settings to use a proxy server. As you can see, I have set what I thought were the right proxy. Settings. Click "browse". In the dialog box that opens, click "LAN settings". Click "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)". Click "Proxies". Uncheck "Enable TCP/IP proxy servers". Click "OK". This should have solved the problem.
