Is Turbo VPN Lite safe?

I want to use Turbo VPN Lite but would like to know whether this can be trusted with my privacy and if there are any flaws within it. I have tried many VPN protocols but have found all the ones I have used have a very simple user interface which makes them pretty easy to use. I use the free VPN service which offers no logs however the software does send some information from your IP address over the internet which you should know. The way their VPN is set up means I cannot use a proxy, so once again I have to trust them and I don't think there is anything to stop them from tracking me, even if they say they won't do it.

Does anybody know of one which claims not to log their customers or anything else? Can you trust VPN services when they claim not to? Re: Does Turbo VPN Lite safe? Thanks. It was actually the link that lead me to your post, sorry it wasn't clear enough when I posted originally. As I said, as this is my first post I'm hoping somebody who has been using these apps for a while will give me some guidance on them. Obviously I'd like to know what kind of log data does this send and what kind of logging does it not do.

I am aware of the problems that can occur when using IP addresses on the internet, however on the whole I prefer it to proxies and also it is possible to control the quality of a VPS you can purchase if you use an external one. If you could find a way for me to be anonymous but still be online then that would be fantastic. All I need is access to something which uses a VPN to connect to a VPS and allows me to be anonymous. This should include no IP logging or other data collection and also a way to use it for an infinite amount of time.

I understand that what I am asking is possible but I don't know how people manage such things and where it is hosted is not important in order to achieve anonymity, for example if I used a Virtual Server I can change my details and use a different IP address which will be totally anonymous but will only work for a limited period of time.

What is a VPN? A virtual private network (VPN) is a network service that you can use to access the internet from anywhere within an organisation's private intranet or over a public network such as the internet, and keep your data secure. How does a VPN work? All computers, laptops, tablets and mobile phones are connected to each other through the internet. Each computer that is connected to the internet and has an IP address is given a unique identifier so that the internet knows how to route data to that device. This is called an IP address.

This IP address is actually part of a network of networks, and each network contains computers, wireless devices and phones connected to other networks through the internet. Within these networks, computers have their own addresses. Each computer, wireless device and phone is identified by a unique number called its MAC address (pronounced MAC-uh-see).

Every time your computer uses the internet, it talks to your ISP (Internet Service Provider) asking for an IP address and a MAC address. Your ISP then assigns you an IP address that is unique to you, and hands your information off to another ISP called a 'network', which in turn routes that information to you via the internet. If you go to a website that you want to access, your computer will ask your ISP for the IP address of that website and will look up the MAC address for your network. Once it has this information, it will request the IP address of that website and let the website do its thing. All of this happens over the internet.

If someone gets into your personal computer, they can view all of the information that is being sent and received and can intercept any communications being sent to and from you. For example, a hacker could intercept data from a bank and use it to commit fraud, or could read your personal emails, messages and documents. A hacker could even change settings on your computer so that you appear to be at a different location.

While a VPN works just like your own computer, it's actually acting as a conduit between you and the internet. Your data is transmitted via the VPN and then re-routed back to you by the VPN when you access websites. Because of this, you are safe from interception by a third party.
