Q 6. How Do I Restrict Apps on My Samsung?

Can you block an app from your phone?

No. Several app developers have already mentioned that a new application can be remotely deleted from the device. Especially if the sandbox is broken, all games run in this period can still be terminated by the remote code execution.

Is a jailbroken iPhone safe? While the program is still capable of doing its work, it has a lot of unauthorized access. Malware authors can scan installed apps for vulnerabilities and add custom ones, which will not be checked by Apple. Of course, this does not mean that there are not booster mechanisms and a jailbroken iPhone is more protected from malicious programs. But it is simply impossible to completely guarantee that a certain App is of good quality. This is why jailbreaking is not recommended.

How big a problem is malware really? The number of malware applications can be breathtaking. The latest statistics of the anti-virus company Panda Security indicate that each mobile device suffers at least 11 malware attacks within the first 30 days of use. These are for instance SMS hiding Trojans, Trojans or advertisements. Many of these enemies can lead to corresponding drawbacks like blocked access to the Internet, the temporary theft or permanent damage of data.

Can I prevent my iPhone from being infected? And how do I know if my iPhone is infected? Given the abundance of application stores, it can be surprising to see that users often do not update their phone because they thought that Apple locks down malware applications. There are already a few new ways of checking for potential problems in the business. Google plus also offers this option for Android smartphones. One can see if the application contains new elements. If the number of texts has increased significantly in the last few updates, there is more to this than meets the eye.

For example, an SMS Trojan should only send random texts and should not be able to access the Internet to send spam messages, which would originally be necessary for a replacement of the infected device. The number of emails, which are thrown into the sand also gives an impression. In some cases, they also contain information in the header, which is relevant for the attack. A comparison of the Apple App Store with the Windows Store shows that Apple leaves out a bit of good software, but does detect the problematic applications.

For other phones, this check is not possible, because Apple only offers a store for the iOS system.

How do I restrict apps on Android?

I understand that there are many third-party apps that are available for purchase, but suppose a parent wants them to NEVER be downloaded by the child. Is this possible? There is no such configuration. Applications in the Android Market can be installed on any Android device without any restrictions or checks. The only thing you can try to improve your kids' privacy is deleting their accounts, which would remove all applications installed through that account, but would leave your other apps.

To disable an account from installing applications with the Android Market app, you should go to: AccountsChild Accounts (looks like a pencil)Disconnect Account.

But again, the only thing you can do is not tell your child if they have these apps installed.

How do I completely block an app?

One of the biggest problematic's about apps like Facebook or Whatsapp's are that they do not recognize that you have deleted them or blocked them from your phone. Not to mention a lot of them present the same general theme even on different Android versions. The problem is that this problem doesn't exist for apps that I've intentionally downloaded. For example, I leave my Gmail open all the way and it always signs me up for their stupid emails. That's 100% my fault, but once I'm signed up I can easily switch between apps using task switchers and they don't know I got my contact and calendar working for a week. However, I still have to go into Play Store and explicitly rename each of the apps and invite them to my contacts and calendars. The best solution to this problem is to make the apps realize that they no longer exist (at least in most cases).

I'm using Rooted Task Switcher Pro, so I'll be posting screenshots of what those numbers mean. Before Removing. Ships: This is the amount of times an app has been tried to connect to your servers. This is not affected by removing it immediately or forcing it to rip.

You just go into Task Manager and look at the Recent Apps tab and click the kill icon next to that item. Tick Work around read-only file and press OK and select OK and then apply changes and remove the app.

If it's root or force close it, go back to Task Manager and remove it from the process list as well by going into ProcessesProcsStatus and clicking on that app and rolling the button at the bottom right. To prevent an app from updating itself once it's totally removed, you can disable automatic update checks as below. Go Back to SettingsAppsApplication Manager and Enable Auto Check for Updates. Before Removing3 Orders: If you looked at the tab before disabling updates for apps, you can also disable popups. Apps with 3 orders are always trying to show a notification here.

Go Back to SettingsAppsApplication Manager and tick apps that show updates over popup.

Q 6. How Do I Restrict Apps on My Samsung?

After deleting/moving some apps, I sometimes found that some of the preinstalled apps from Samsung now registers deep in the IO. It seems like it consumes a lot of resources (RAM and CPU) and increases the file access time if such an app has been installed on Device. I recently updated my Galaxy from 2.3.6 Gingerbread to 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, a.a Note I7000. Due to the slow network provider I cannot get the 4.4 updates from Google. If you go into Device Settings, tap Apps, scroll down to the app launching category, and tap Force stop (triangle). Tap Force stop again, and then select Forbid all device checking application. You may need to reboot for this method to work.

"The workaround below stops app results from updating icons and crashing dialer, voice recognition and other utilities of selected apps. Un-checking the icon will simply be a visual thing, but the selected apps can still impact the overall performance of your device. Be sure to test carefully."
