How to make YouTube links open in YouTube app iPhone?

You've most likely seen the videos on YouTube and are able to open the link but when you click on the link it's opens in Safari browser or other default app.

The video you wish to watch is already on the YouTube app but when you click on it, it opens in your default app like Safari.

So what we want is to be able to open a link to a YouTube video in the YouTube app instead of in the default app? In this article, I will show you how to make YouTube link open in YouTube app iPhone. ? Step 1: Open Safari app. Open Safari app on your iPhone (Home > Safari). Step 2: Go to YouTube.com or any other website, you want to open in your YouTube app.

Step 3: Tap Show in YouTube App button. Now you should see a red button. Tap it. You'll see a popup with an option to Show in YouTube App.

Step 4: Type YouTube URL. The URL of the video which you'd like to open in the YouTube app. If you want to view the link again, you can open that link in the same YouTube app (and not in your default browser) by tapping Show in YouTube App button again.

Make sure you get a link which ends in the youtube.com (YouTube App won't recognize any link which doesn't end in youtube.com).

For example: If you have added it to the Safari as a bookmark, you'll get the option to Show in YouTube App when you tap that bookmark. Step 5: Open in YouTube app. Tapping on Show in YouTube App will open that video in the YouTube app. If you want to open it again, you just tap on the link and it'll open.

This works only if the video is being played inside YouTube app and not inside a web browser.

How do I open an app instead of a browser on my iPhone?

In a nutshell, it's not a thing you can do.

When the browser loads a webpage, it looks for a number of things, including but not limited to the presence of a URL (which leads to a web page), or the presence of a webpage icon (for pages that have embedded content, such as forms). On iOS there are many apps with content that fits the above requirements, but you can't directly open the URL inside the app. This happens because by opening an app's "home screen," iOS sends a message to the app to tell it to open whatever the URL points to. You can actually send that message from any app to any app on the phone. But, because the browser loads the webpage, it has already sent the message to the browser.

There is a way around this: you can make a webpage, make the browser open it, and then open the webpage in Safari.e. This way, the browser is already loaded and the URL is visible.

You can do the same thing if you want to link to a local HTML document instead of a website. The browser still goes to a webpage, so the URL is still the same, but the browser is loaded with the HTML that is part of the document.

I have a very simple question about using iOS. When I open a webpage on my phone it comes up fine on my iPhone 5. I just don't get the black bar at the top with "Home" "Mail" etc. Instead, it uses the apps. Also if I put the URL in there, it opens it. But I'm confused about why when I click on the URL for a page it asks me which app I want to open it with. If I click it, it opens in the "web browser". Why doesn't the site open in the iPhone apps? I'm trying to help someone explain why this is happening.

Edit: I thought that it came up fine by default. I guess it wasn't. Any ideas?

The reason that the website was opened in the web browser, instead of the native browser, is because it couldn't find the URL you're pointing to in the web browser (and also not found the page itself). The problem is, the native browser, unlike the web browser, knows how to load the content in the correct way.

My phone was stolen along with all my credit cards and ID.

That means it can now be opened. It looks like I can go through her phone on that account but is it easy to check her emails? What about YouTube or her Gmail accounts. I haven't added any accounts to her phone but it's possible she may have created new ones. Any suggestions or how I would go about accessing her phone?

First, there's a few good answers out there for you. If you don't know the name of any apps, there's not too much you can do besides get into the device via iTunes or iCloud and see which apps are pre-installed.

When you get into her device via iTunes, click on her Apple ID account, and click on your name below the "Your Account" page. This should open up a new web browser window to a page just for you. From here, you'll be able to see all your email accounts, web browsers, and other information.

If you get into her iPhone via iCloud (by clicking your name above your Apple ID), then go to your preferences from within the Phone app, and click on the "Accounts" option. If this is a new account, then it won't show anything in your list of accounts. However, if you find a user account that you think you've added to this phone, go ahead and click on "View Account" for that specific account.

Now, as far as going to that specific email account, well that's where we have the biggest complication. We can't open an email client on the phone itself, so unless she's setup an IMAP account or another app to do so, then your best bet is probably iTunes or iCloud.

For your next step, go to Settings/ General/ About and then scroll down and find more information about your phone (iPhone 6) or about the specific version of iOS she's running (iPhone 8). Both of these places will contain a section where she'll want to be able to get into her photos and video. Find an app called "Find My iPhone". You can either sign into this app using your Apple ID (which will be linked to iCloud.com, or your own email account to a free email account that allows for IMAP servers.
