They are legit. They encrypt all traffic. They have a transparent web site. They are the only VPN service I know of that does this and they have a pretty good reputation.

You then just need to pick the network location you want to use (eg home, office) and enter the port number in the app. You will then be able to access everything you want through a VPN (eg online banking, Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, VLC) on that location.
