How do I add a proxy address to Exchange Online?

How to solve another object with the same value for property proxyAddresses already exists?

I am working with a legacy database which I am trying to connect using entity framework.

In this legacy database, there are two tables, one of which has a property called proxyAddresses which contains the values of all the active proxies in the company (a very large list). When I attempt to add the entity model for this database to the project, I receive an error that says "There is already an object named proxyAddress in the database".

The proxyAddresses property on the entity is just a string, not a List or anything else. I am also aware that the proxyAddresses property is not required for entity framework to create a new entity, and it does not get created when I attempt to add the entity model.

How can I solve this? I ended up solving the problem by splitting the proxyAddresses property into two properties: the proxyAddressesId and the proxyAddresses, and then creating the proxies table in the legacy database so that the proxyAddressesId property is primary key. This way, I could add a new proxy to the database by supplying both the proxy address and the proxy address id.

How do I add a proxy address to Exchange Online?

My employer has asked me to move from Office 365 ProPlus to Exchange Online.

There is no support for Exchange Online, and the only thing that works is on-premises Exchange. I've got 2 servers in the lab - a server I can ssh to and administer remotely, and the other a test box to run my Exchange tests on. I need to create the proxy address and add it to my O365 account.

The Exchange admin center tells me I don't have enough permissions to do that. I'm able to add a proxy address using O365 admin center, but not with Exchange.

Does anyone know how to add a proxy address? I've tried the same instructions online but the Exchange admin center is just not behaving at all. I found the following URL on the Internet: and it works perfectly well. However, if I am logged into Exchange with my own domain (ex.contoso.onmicrosoft.com), it's not working for me. It doesn't seem to want to accept an example.com address as the proxy address.

In general, the URL can be used only when you are using the self-signed certificate of the proxy address. When you add a proxy address to O365, a certificate will be issued to you to connect to the mail server of the proxy address. This certificate is used by Exchange Client Access Service (CAS) to verify the identity of the server. Please refer to this document to understand the relationship between the proxy address and the CAS certificate.
