Where is security in settings on iPad?
Why are the settings security still not as good as android/Windows.
It may not be easy to crack the iPad lock. Just download iCrap and open the settings. Then enter your password. But with android tablet it can be very easily done, without even need to root the device. You don't need to install other apps like the ictrap to be hacked by others. I use a simple app called "Hacker", you just press the button on top of Hacker, it will automatically connect to this server and will take a screenshot of the screen, press the picture button, it will post the image on to the web. And here is the link if you want:
The ictrap only works for iCrap, other apps won't work. But if you open ictrap, you could simply open any installed app. Like if the settings are protected by password, you can simply open apps which has "Password protected". That's why the ictrap cannot save our data directly. I found something about the issue when I read ictrap forum. I think it's because the settings of Android can not allow customisation in security level as a built-in feature from their side. To solve this issue, we could find 3 things. One is to make ictrap more customisation, but that means the ictrap will not be a simple program. That mean the price is raised. The second thing is that ictrap needs to make compatible with those customised Android settings and it was stated in the forum that they tried to implement a function named "Save password". But after the version 2.1 update, there is still no a function named "Save Password". Another thing I found out about this issue is that, they didn't add to show a prompt on startup or they forgot to update those changes. So if a user want to check its password, it will show an error about that. But I'm not sure of this.
I hope with this information, people will get a better understanding of ictrap as well as those security issues from Android's point of view. When someone try to find something bad about this APP then he's really a bad person. If you want to crack iPad settings (or android, windows) then go away.
