How to install OpenVPN Access Server on Windows 10?

I am a novice in terms of OpenVPN Access Server.

I have a Windows 10 laptop and want to install openvpn. There are many tutorials available, but all them are for the Windows 7 operating system.

I have installed the prerequisites on my PC and also configured the PC so it can access the internet using mobile network. I am a beginner and I have very little experience with any windows operation. My experience with Ubuntu is not much.

Here's what I did. Open the Microsoft Visual Studio 2026. Click on "File" tab. Right click on the "Open" button and select "Open Command Window here". A new window should open and the path will be something like C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft Visual Studio2019CommunityCommon7Toolsvcvarsall.bat x64 On the command prompt press "ENTER". A new window should open now and paste the following command. CMD will now execute that command. It will ask to change the directory to where you have your vpn. I used C:OpenVPN-APPC as my directory.

Then type "cd C:OpenVPN-APPCOpenVPNAccessServerWin10" and press ENTER. If you already have done this step then you will not need to do anything. Otherwise you have to type "cd C:OpenVPN-APPCOpenVPNAccessServerWin10". Then type "InstallOpenVPN.exe -install" and press ENTER.

You will now see a window asking you for installation information and then ask you to confirm if you want to install OpenVPN server. Click on "Next" and then "Finish". Windows will now start the installation process. Once the installation is complete you will be prompted to restart the computer. Then type msconfig. This will open up the task manager.

On the left side scroll down to "Windows Components". There you will see three tabs on the right side.
