What app can I use to track an IP address?

Does an app exist that will track an IP address (or more precisely the mac address)

The purpose would be to track a device which is currently inactive. Mac OS X comes with an application called Little Snitch which provides network monitoring and tracking of what apps are connecting to your network (in this case your ethernet network). With this app running and your Ethernet connection enabled, any connection to your network is traced. You can then examine the logs of which specific mac addresses connected to your network, time of connect, etc.

Can Google Maps track IP address?

I am a newbie, just learning about Google Maps.

I have had a Google Map installed for a couple of weeks now. I have only used the map a few times and it has always been in a state of disarray. I thought it may be a good idea to install the Google tracking IP address to see where people are accessing the site. The map is accessed from and here is what I get when I look at the IP address,

I am not trying to cause any trouble, but how can I access this information? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. CK
