You can create a wireless hotspot so you can share a network connection or a file between your devices. You can also get access to multiple networks by connecting with a single passphrase. The app provides a very complete set of features for locating and configuring your network that I've been unable to find in any other app.

What's new in version 1.22? One of the really cool things about the app is the ability to automatically adjust the app's settings so that it will work best with how you use your phone. For example, if you are primarily using the app to locate and check out nearby networks, the app will display only the names and addresses of the WAPs in the proximity. If you want the app to tell you more about the network or make recommendations about which type of network to connect to, you can select Detailed View. This will open the app up to all the fields it supports.

Another feature that I really like about the app is the ability to create a hotspot. In previous versions, I was unable to do so without manual intervention so this is a big improvement. Creating a hotspot on an AT&T LTE network is very simple. Connect to one of the networks found in your network list and when prompted, type in your username and password. Note that this is one of the few situations where manual entry of a username and password is required. Once done, disconnect from the hotspot to turn off Wi-Fi.e. Then download and install the app and you should see the new hotspot listed in your network list.
