What to drink to Take the Edge Off?

For some people, the holiday season is a source of stress.

Maybe it's being around family and friends that remind you of past failures or disappointments. Or maybe you're surrounded by in-laws and relatives that don't have your best interest at heart.

Whatever the reason, being around your family and friends during the holidays can be stressful. If you find yourself on the edge of a breakdown, it's important to take care of your mental health in order to keep things under control. One of the best ways to take the edge off when the holidays hit is to drink some delicious nonalcoholic drinks.

Of course, if you want to drink, you need to know which nonalcoholic beverages are best for your case. Some of the world's healthiest beverages are available in every grocery store, and most grocery stores have nonalcoholic beverages in their in-house selection. You don't need a certain type of nonalcoholic beverage to enjoy these drinks; most of them are perfectly acceptable if they meet your preferences.

The healthiest nonalcoholic beverages are the ones that contain minimal calories, zero fat and zero sugar. They're also low in caffeine and can be found at various grocery stores and convenience stores, especially those in colder climates.

When you buy a nonalcoholic beverage, the first thing you should ask yourself is how much you should drink. The rule of thumb is to drink about one eight-ounce serving of a healthy drink per hour, whether you're drinking it hot or cold. If you're unsure of what to choose, you can make an eight-ounce serving with ice, and if you're feeling thirsty after a while, just keep drinking.

Some of the most popular nonalcoholic drinks to purchase include these: Ginger tea. Ginger tea helps promote digestion. It also aids in relieving symptoms like stomach cramps, bloating, nausea and indigestion. Make sure you're buying high-quality ginger tea - organic ginger root powder with no artificial ingredients isn't a bad choice.

Meadows Organic Ginger Tea. Meadows Organic Ginger Tea contains two scoops of real ginger root powder and one scoop of organic turmeric powder for maximum turmeric benefits.

What is apothekary?

Apothek means apotheca or pharmacy.

There has been a pharmacy in Graz for more than 400 years already. The word apothek is mentioned for the first time in 1522.

The apothek from the 16th century is just one of several apothecaries in Graz with their own pharmacies, and they were also the most prestigious pharmacy in Graz. From 1712 onwards there were four apothekaries in Graz: Dr. Hans Baur, Dr. Bernhard von Loewenfeld (1670-1750), Dr. Heinrich Reiter and Dr. Josephine Tschermak (1678-1752).

We are looking for documents related to the history of pharmacy in Graz since the early 18th century. As part of our collection we are showing archival films on the historical evolution of pharmacy in Graz. These films are produced as part of the project Schweizerischer Pharmaziengeschichte (Swiss Pharmacy History) funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and published by the Zentralinstitut fr Pharmakologie und Forschungstechnologie.

The current collection contains: Kosm. Anzeiger der Schweiz, Nr. 508a, from 13 June 1834

Dr. Karl Lueger reports that the number of apothecaries is decreasing, so much so that it was necessary to close some pharmacies due to lack of clients. This has happened at the apothecary store in Dbling and two others. But I think this trend will be reversed again, thanks to the good conditions provided by an excellent climate.

"Kosm. Anzeiger der Schweiz", Issue Nr. 510b from 17 May 1834

An interesting situation took place in the city of Graz: Dr. Hans Baur is in possession of the two pharmacy licences. Reiter, who died last year, was also licensed. Josefine Tschermak lives in Linsberg. Her husband, Dr. Joseph, has lived in Graz since the mid 1800s.

Does Apothekary give you a buzz?

There is so much to explore and discover in Apothekary.

In today's video I talk with Mattias, lead programmer for Apothekary to find out what you can expect from him in the near future and also to explain how the server is built and what we're working on.

Apothekary is currently a web game which means it uses the web browser as an interface to play through the game world instead of installing a client on your computer. I got to test the game several times already and I really like the fact that I'm able to just press refresh in my browser window and the game will continue where it left off. There's also very little lag that I experienced playing through the test servers.

The goal of this interview is to get to know you better to be able to talk about future plans of the game, and also to get information out into the internet about your life while working on Apothekary. It would be great if you could share this interview on Facebook or Twitter and let me know that you read it.

Thanks a lot for listening! - Mattias. If you have enjoyed my content, please consider a monthly donation and help me keep this site up-to-date. You'll find all of my current donation levels on The Adventure Begins Store.
