What is better than IPVanish?
A VPN that actually works for privacy and privacy-minded people, that's what.
IPVanish is a company built around this mission; we care about privacy, you shouldn't have to be afraid of it. For every one of our clients, we use only the most secure protocols, the fastest speeds, and the best hardware in the industry to deliver reliable connections worldwide, while still giving you maximum privacy protection when you're using your online services. You can try it out for 30 days at no charge, and if you decide to subscribe, your first package will be 100% FREE. Check out the video below for more information.
Is it worth getting IPVanish over similar services like ExpressVPN or Surfshark or should I just stick with what I'm doing right now which is using my regular ISP? There is always the chance that something can go wrong with the connection and you'll pay out even more money for the service than you would have to pay if your Internet were to malfunction. I personally feel that all of those paid VPN services mentioned have their strengths and weaknesses, but I believe in staying safe online. So, if you do have concerns, do your own research and make your decision!
Is there a problem with IPVanish?
A new version of IPVanish popped up that doesn't work and it seems to be the newest version.
I had already been playing around with it but it seemed to be working so far. Now when I try to restart a game it just says it can't connect and that the computer is on, even though my connection is fine. Also I can't open a port anymore for it. What am I supposed to do? Do I need to go back to my old IPVanish? Or can I just keep this and it'll work out of the box?
You can download these IPVanish versions from here if you need them to run. If it doesn't run just delete them. Also as mentioned by Nino, you should delete all instances of IPVanish before trying it again. Otherwise you'll get an error saying there's a conflict and the only solution is to reboot your computer. When this happens, try to make sure it isn't an internet-connection issue.
I am in the US and every time I start a game, I get the error message that my ISP has blocked traffic from this website. Is it possible to update the port-forwarding rules for my PC so I don't have to manually type them each time? The first thing you need to check if you're not getting access through your ISP is to check if your router supports HTTP Proxy Forwarding. If it doesn't, the solution is to use another type of Internet connection, like Ethernet. Then use IPVanish's own support site to add the rules into your router's configuration.
What is the difference between Puff and puff, and puff ? Puff is what you see when you connect to a game on Puff (IPVanish). Puff makes it seem like you are on Puff's servers instead of you're own. You should be able to connect to your own servers, without needing to use puff.
It's because most routers can't forward ports by default. You can manually add a port forwarding rule. Puff provides a GUI so you don't have to edit the settings by hand.
How do I get rid of IPVanish?
I really hate it and don't want to use it anymore but how can I remove it from my PC?
I've been thinking of removing it. But I don't know if I can do that safely.
I've tried searching online but haven't found anything. What do you think about the IPVanish's products? What kind of security could you get in the internet when using VPN and if it could be a danger to your privacy? A VPN service makes a lot of information invisible. This kind of service can potentially leak information because it acts as a proxy that makes data invisible to someone who knows about this service. By using this kind of service you are exposing the privacy of others. I would recommend not using a VPN if you have serious privacy concerns. I also think it's good to know what kind of information that is sent over the internet. By creating a VPN, you make it more likely that the government would be able to eavesdrop on your activities. I'm not saying that the US government is doing this, but it makes it easier for them to do so. By using a VPN like this, you are making your activities easily accessible to the government, whether you realize it or not. If the government doesn't listen in, then it doesn't matter, right? But if they do listen in, then you could face consequences of some sort. By using a VPN like this, you could get yourself into a situation where you are charged with doing things in a way that could hurt other people. If the government says that you did things that are illegal or a violation of someone else's rights, then you could face jail time or something.
VPN services like IPVanish work by having servers located all over the world. So it's basically hiding your information from anyone that knows about these IPVanish servers. It might be difficult to find out where these servers are located. However, the US government may know where the servers are located. They may also find out about your activities that you are making sure no one else knows about. There could be some sort of penalty for you, even if you aren't a US citizen.
