My home computer is connected to the internet through wifi.

I can access google with no problems but when I type www.com I get a webpage with a message stating "google.com is not responding". When I connect with another computer and try to google.com the page loads without a problem so I assume it's something on my end. I've tried uninstalling java, antivirus, windows updates, firefox plugins, etc. I'm running Windows 8 and everything works fine on other devices in the house. I can't see what there is wrong. Any ideas?

Check your network card's MAC address/hardware ID. It's what Windows uses to connect to it. Does it match up to your router's?
