What movies are not available on Netflix in the US?

Netflix's latest "World's Greatest Shows" list covers more than 1,500 films everything from French art house favorites to Bollywood blockbusters to animated classics.

You can see the full list here, but since it seems like Netflix was feeling particularly generous with this list, we decided to ask: nited States? You'll find some surprising results on this list, and some great Netflix originals that you might want to check out anyway.

The Good Fight, Seasons 1-3. A number of Netflix's newish original programming are available in the US, but one of the best was sadly left out of the library. Like the series' main character Diane Lockhart (played by Christine Baranski), many of us are a little bit envious of what we didn't get to watch in its full run. The first season is the most bingeable; watch Season 1, 2 and 3 of The Good Fight for Netflix.

F is for Family, Seasons 1-4. There is no F for Family in the Netflix library at least not when you're logged into your account from a US location. But it is on the site from several European locations, and it is pretty darned good, and we'd rather watch it than anything in Netflix's new original programming.

Gilmore Girls, Seasons 1-5. This one is probably the most obvious choice. Gilmore Girls fans will no doubt be happy to see that it is available for streaming.

4/

Godless, Seasons 1-2. We're cheating a bit with this one we know that Godless is available on Netflix from more than 30 countries around the world, but the US version is nowhere to be found. It is, however, also available from the UK and other European countries. We recommend checking it out, even if it's in an English dub, so you don't have to watch the whole thing to catch up.

Into the Dark, Season 2. Netflix released the first season of this supernatural drama two months after it originally debuted in theaters. All of the episodes are available now.

Is Netflix UK different to US?

I started watching Netflix last week and I'm impressed by the number of series I can watch.

The problem is, there's only one series in English so I'm going mad trying to find something to watch. I only know about House Of Cards as I saw it in the cinema. It's not for me then! :-D

I would have thought that the shows would be all the same, but maybe it just takes longer to come to a UK audience (as long as the shows are released). I've got a question: what is the advantage of Netflix being available only in certain countries? How do you know you can watch a show on Netflix when you travel? I thought it was a catch 22 thing where if you can't watch it from the US, then it doesn't exist in the UK (because we can't access it). I've been wondering the same thing, but Netflix in the US is usually different than the other countries. For instance, Daredevil didn't show up on Netflix outside of the US until they made season 2 of the show.

Yeah, in the US most of the shows are a few episodes longer. That's not a problem because we are always fast-forwarding through the boring parts anyway. But it's more annoying when you don't want to re-watch something you already watched.

I'm not sure why it's like that, but if I had to guess I would say they release a show first in the US, then they release it in other countries, which has a chance of getting a different rating (they're always careful about the content in any country). Also, they probably release some original shows, which are rated differently.

And while I'm at it: I wish that TV Shows weren't split into two-hour episodes (even though it's great to binge on them), as sometimes one shows goes on for two or three hours (I could swear there are still episodes of Dexter), and it's annoying. I think they're in two-part episodes for a good reason: the ratings on TV shows are often affected by how well the audience follows the story. If you miss one episode, you'll notice that the second one is boring and that makes you dislike the show. It's a lot easier to get lost in a single episode.

You're thinking about it too hard.
