What does PCAPdroid do?

What you see is what you get, just like other similar apps.

It is what I am personally looking for (as far as simplicity goes), as I have to be able to quickly install a PCAP on any PCAP capable device. I have installed both version 2 and 4. There are many features of the PCAPdroid.

The Packet Capture is based off of Android's native system called Package Kit which allows users to capture packets off the system, and view them through various applications. It works on all operating systems supported by package kit, including Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X.

This allows for easy packet injection and network analysis by simply downloading the application from the Google Play Store. The application will give you a preview of all files stored, and allows you to view the files on a larger scale through its own UI. This makes analyzing packet contents a snap!

There are also several other features such as setting up traffic monitors to listen into the traffic from other applications, adding more IP addresses to track, and even generating reports of packet counts and duration through the use of third party applications such as Flowdroid, or FlowMeter, etc.
