There's a possibility that the location information from your device is being sent to Google servers and a machine learning model is being built up with this information. I've used Google Maps before to share my location when I needed it in the past, but it seems like I can only share for a day! What happened? On the My Location page for Google Maps, you'll see the option to Share your location. When you click on this, it will bring you to a page where you can allow Google Maps to share your location for the next day, or the next week, or any time period that you choose.
