Which drink is best for skin and hair?
I am getting ready for work and this is my day time routine which I want to keep doing.
I use a cleanser once a day, followed by toner, and then lotion. Do you have any suggestions of what type of brand or types of products would best for this routine? Thank you!
Most gentle cleansing for the face is actually a wash without soap. The face washes should really only be used to remove eye makeup and dirt if at all. But, in your case, I would add a little oil into the toner step.
For your face cleanse, you are already right on the money with what I have been recommending. You could even add a little bit of oil (I personally like to use Jojoba oil - you can get it at most drug stores - usually by the "beauty supplies" section) to your toner and keep doing what you're doing.
Thank you so much for your response! It makes sense because my skin tends to break out around my eye area when using cleansers without any oil in them. I am going to start using the olive oil as you suggested! I know that you cannot guarantee that it will not get broken out again, but you've given me something to work with. I am taking the product that you recommended (which will be very gentle), and hopefully it will clear up by tomorrow morning.
I just wanted to follow up and say that I have decided to stop using the cleanser without the oil in it. As a result, my acne has cleared up overnight and my skin has been soft and glowing for the past few days.
In my opinion, it really depends on what products you have been using up to this point. I have had great results with Dr. Hauschka's Ultra Hydrating Moisturizing Cream. You may find that particular brand has a better fit for your skin type.
Hope this helps and please let me know how it goes! Cheers! I love Burt's Bees lip balm and have found it to be very moisturizing. I also like the fact that it's 100% natural and has no added chemicals, preservatives or nasty junk. I can only tell you from experience though, it's not too thin, but it will melt in the sun on hot days, so be careful! I wish you luck!
