Where are my apps on Google phone?
Hi, I have got a HTC Google phone and the apps are not installed on it.
It doesn't show up on the screen when the phone is switched on or the apps are showing up on the screen when the phone is turned off or switched off. Can anyone please help? Thank you.
You need to root the phone before you can get access to the "apps" on your phone. Originally Posted by biketoad. Cheers. How do you root a phone like this? I will link you the tutorial for this. Click on the link. Now in the first page, you will have to download the files required for this step. The files are named as "roottoolssurecoveryimgandrecoverypartition.tar.gz".
Note: Make sure you have already downloaded "SuperSUv2.71.zip" as it's also required for this step. Once you've downloaded the files, extract them and copy their files into the sdcard and start the application and follow the instructions carefully. Do it one by one and don't miss anything.
I will try to describe the steps here. First turn off your phone completely, then turn it on and switch to recovery mode by pressing volume up and volume down at the same time, if it does not work check the "Turn on/off" tab. If it is "rooted" then you should be able to see the "recovery" option if it was enabled, or press "Reboot now" or "Power Off" depending on your phone.
