How do I use VPN on my Samsung Smart TV?

What DNS should I use for Samsung TV?

I am building a network for my house.

From my router (Asus RT-AC68U AC1200) I get IPs to 5 TVs, 2 gaming computers, and 1 phone. At the moment I am using static IPs but I would like to use Dynamic DNS. Currently my DNS entries look like this.

For the 5 Tv's: ns1.ddns.me

For the phone: ns2.me For the game computers: ns3.me I have been using dnsmasq and ddns on an old PC for a long time now and would like to have the same on all my devices except the TV's. My question is, do I need to have them all go through my router (as they do currently) or can I leave them with their own DNS server? Can the DNS server be different on each of them? Are there any other issues with using a different DNS server for each device? I use dnsmasq at the moment on the router, how could I use it on the rest? DNS servers are not a problem in themselves. The real problem is that your router has to know about them, because all your devices will use them. On a single subnet, if you configure your devices to connect through your router, this should work fine, and will keep your DHCP from serving anything wrong. But if your devices are all on different subnets, this won't work. What you need to do is make a bridge on your router so it has an IP address on every subnet. Then configure all your devices to connect via that bridge.

I would probably just use a single DNS server for all the devices if I were you.

Can I use ExpressVPN on my Samsung Smart TV?

Is it possible? We have a few different reasons for you to choose ExpressVPN. To make sure you're getting the service that fits your needs, we recommend reading our guide to the best VPN services for Samsung Smart TV on Amazon. This way, you'll be able to see whether the service matches your specific requirements and whether the subscription is affordable to you.

You don't need to connect to a public Wi-Fi network to use ExpressVPN when you're connected to an Internet connection with a dynamic IP address. When you do decide to use the service though, you'll be able to stream movies and live TV shows from Netflix, and play your favorite music as long as you're in an area where your provider has coverage.

That being said, the ExpressVPN app for Samsung smart TVs is somewhat restricted. You're limited to the functionality of any Android TV stick that the service has been made for. That means that all of your data and traffic will go through the tunnel, so you'll have no access to other apps besides the one you've selected.

One other thing to note is that connecting to ExpressVPN will mean a loss of speed. As you might have guessed, many popular Android TV sticks are optimized to work with ExpressVPN, but they don't add up top speeds like they would if you were connecting to a standard WiFi hotspot.

How to connect to ExpressVPN from your Samsung smart TV. You can use one of these Samsung smart TVs (all of them) as your ExpressVPN server. You should know that using this type of router or router box is an advanced activity. If you aren't aware of what you're doing, you might accidentally damage your TV. However, you might get it working with less tech-savvy people than you. That being said, you're going to have to configure your server manually. This will let you access TV streams and access apps normally not accessible through ExpressVPN.

Here's how to connect to the ExpressVPN server from your Samsung smart TV: Turn on your Samsung smart TV. Play/Pause button.
