How to do data automation in Excel?
How does someone decide which part of a spreadsheet would better suited for automation? For example, I've found that one very easy way to start automating data in Excel is to have one tab for each value and have a "fill in the blank" or the option to select which cell or columns I want to use. I would like to know what are some other good ways of automating data. The data will essentially be raw data pulled from a website; however, I only want values from a specific webpage. Is it easier just to make multiple tabs where data is pulled from each individual webpage and just manually copy and paste certain information into the "blanks"? Any suggestions on what method would best for me to automate my data? I also have about 200 columns of data with all that data. Each column represents a year of data in terms of the amount produced. Does anyone know any sort of macro code that would enable me to automate the entire sheet? Thank you so much!
There is no 'easier' or 'better' method here. The key issue to ask yourself is what can happen when you automate. You need to look at what 'things' happen around your cells that might be done by 'other' applications. For example, a simple function is. =IF(A1="
How do you write anywhere in Excel?
I'm a student at University of California-Irvine, and I spend my days writing in the computer.
Sometimes I need to write on paper, but it's still much better to just use the computer. How can I make this easier?
First, you need to determine which program is better for you. There are three different programs available for writing on paper: Microsoft Office Paper (XP, Vista, 7), and Scrivener. The following paragraphs compare the two. I'm not using Scrivener, so I'm comparing the other two.
Microsoft Office Paper is a simple program. You can write in the program and you can save your work in Microsoft Word format.
You can get Microsoft Office Paper here. It's free! Microsoft Office Paper also comes with a number of other features: It supports many different paper sizes. You can choose from Letter, Legal, Tabloid, and A4.
You can choose to print or copy a document. It includes a table of contents. It has an undo feature. It has a select all feature. You can make multiple copies of a document, which you can then move around. Microsoft Office Paper is easy to use. When you open Microsoft Office Paper, you can simply click on the program icon and start writing. But, if you want to use a keyboard, then you have to do a bit more. You need to go into Options. If you're not familiar with the settings of a program, this means you have to go into the Help section of the program. The following image shows the Help menu.
This image is from the Help menu. And the following image shows the Options menu. This image is from the Options menu. You need to find the keyboard settings. It's in Options -> Keyboard. When you click on the Help button, you get a screen that looks like the following image.
This is the Help menu. If you click on the Keyboard button, you get a screen that looks like the following image. This is the Keyboard menu.
