Hey everyone!

In the last video we talked about how to block a channel on Youtube, but now I need to figure out how to do the same thing. Now some of you may already know this, but if you don't this video should still help you with it.

The last few weeks, I have been watching a lot of new content being uploaded to YTTV because I'm always looking for something interesting to watch. But recently, I decided to see what kind of channels the people who upload such good content would be able to recommend to me. To make things easier, I tried to find which channels are on my YTTV home screen and started adding all the channels that I can remember watching over the last week or so and that had a good number of uploads. This is by no means a complete list of all the channels I know, it just lists the ones that stuck out to me at this particular time, as these are the channels that I'm going to recommend for next week's video that will probably be uploaded a bit before this post. These are some really great looking kids channels and they've been adding content to their Youtube channel for years. This is a big deal for a lot of reasons, but mostly because these kids are uploading every kind of content from games to educational stuff. They know what they're doing and they've got a steady following of fans. Another thing that really stuck out to me in that list was their video series called "A Day with my Homies." This video series was inspired by the popular YouTuber known as "Cr3at" and it is one of the best things I've ever watched on YouTube.

Here's another nice channel, and also I really like their videos. The first one that really grabbed my attention and pulled me in is called "Racing Tips for Kids & Parents.

YouTube has a feature to block content. If you're sick of accidentally coming across violent or inappropriate content while watching YouTube videos, you can block content with options for different time periods. What you see depends on your device. On an Android phone, choose "Settings." If you can't see that option, search for "Settings. Choose the "Apps" tab. Or choose "Settings." (It will be in Android, or "Settings" under Internet Explorer in Windows.)

When you're there, under "Content & privacy," find the setting that blocks video content from the YouTube app.

Can you block YouTube channels from Recommended?

I would like to block the recommendation of certain channels from the YouTube sidebar.

Is this possible? I'm afraid the answer is "No". The recommended channels are updated dynamically in response to what users are watching on YouTube. When users start watching something, then the channel will be promoted.

To be able to see which channels are recommended, you have to visit the YouTube home page and click on the "More" link (to the right of the video that you want to watch) and then look at the first row (if you have only one).
