Which one is better, MailerLite or Mailchimp?

A few months ago I started using Mailchimp as my all purpose emailing platform.

My company (Litepaper.com) uses Mailchimp for both sales lists and for general emailing. I also have a small list called the "Friends of Litepaper." You're probably thinking, how does Mailchimp even make money? It's true. Mailchimp relies on monthly and annual packages for bulk mailings (for you non-Americans that is "the letter rate"). This is ok if it's for a legitimate bulk mailer, but I don't think Litepaper qualifies. Mailchimp allows me to change the template, the subject line, etc without paying a dime. These prices are a bit inflated and I did want something that was more customizable and more user friendly (I'm not a programmer) than just a template and a subject line. The problem is, I can't seem to find any programs for sale that fit this description exactly, so maybe Mailchimp is the best option out there. They've only got a 7-day free trial. I tried to email them to request the trial key, but there was no response. There is a demo for MailerLite that I downloaded and ran through 3 times and then didn't touch.99. I think the program will work for me but if it turns out to be crap I'll look elsewhere. To me, a good program is one where the customer knows how to use it when it's purchased but also can customize for free, and also can send and delete messages as many times as they like for as long as they like.

In your experience, how much customization do you expect before you need to buy a custom system? So I'm not a fan of their template designs, but I still think Mailchimp looks clean and modern. They may be right about the people I target because of their age or race.

Is MailerLite worth it?

But I've recently come across a mail sender called MailerLite and I'm wondering if it's worth giving it a shot. As I understand it, it has some free functionality that can't be used without paying for a monthly or annual subscription. Is that right?

Re: ? I think it's too soon to tell at this point. It's very different from our product (although if you're familiar with us, it's also similar) and it depends on how they do things. I'd like to see them work out a few of their kinks, and get all the features working properly first. It's definitely an alternative that you should look into though!

A big part of the value of MailerLite is that it's "free" -- they don't take any money. They may well eventually open up features in which people can try them out, but then lock those features behind a paid plan. That would probably be a poor strategy, but at least they have other options.

As for your question about whether it's worth paying for it now, it's completely up to you! You can test it out for 30 days at no charge, and if it's something you really like, you can use it for your whole life and pay as you go. All you pay is the Sender ID fee -- it's just a way to separate out the spammers from the non-spammers. If you decide you want to pay for it, you can do so with no additional charge; you'll simply be charged based on how much bandwidth your mailing runs on (we are still testing this).

I haven't tried MailerLite so I can't speak from personal experience but I do have a friend who uses it for his business and it is good.50 per year (or I think it's 7.50 gets him is the ability to create a free domain name.

I would suggest giving it a try for 30 days and see how you like it.

Is MailerLite no longer free?

I have been a customer of Mailerlite for many years and, with the exception of my last upgrade, have enjoyed great success.

For those of us who have had no problems and are happy with our program, it seems rather drastic to cancel our subscription at this point. Please help!

I don't have any answer, but I'm really having trouble trying to find something out about how this would affect you. Do you keep your own server or do you use their service? Do you have to start a whole new account with them if you change? It sounds like you'll have to start over and re-register with them. If you run your own server and use their service, I think your email would automatically be forwarded to you. It would be something like "noreply@mailerlite.com", I'm not sure of all the specifics. Anyway, it sounds to me that you may be able to keep your previous account, but you'd be starting over and you would have to re-register.

This might be a bad time for you to start re-installing your MailerLite client. There are so many changes in the new version that it would be a nightmare for me to start re-installing it. Just go ahead and try to find the most current version and follow that. At the very least, it shouldn't be a bad thing to have your existing address forward to you for a while so you can try it out. In addition to that, I'm confident that you can get some help through the forum to find something out. Hopefully that will work. There is also an online support for which you can use as well.

In my experience, it seems as though every month I get a notification that the account has been renewed, but when I visit my account, nothing has changed. This was certainly true for the first year after I started using it. I could click the link and the renewal would show that it was indeed approved, but it was still there. Sometimes it would come right away, and sometimes it would wait for a week before I received it.
