How do I know if I have MailerLite or MailerLite Classic?

What is the difference between MailerLite classic and the new version?

This will help.

I'd like to know ? My husband wanted to send me an e-mail. When I told him it was not on my iPhone (it works on my iPad 2), he started searching for help. I told him to use the new version of Mailerlite, he did and could not send his e-mail. He was told to delete the old version of Mailerlite, which he did. The new version of Mailerlite still does not work.

The new version will not work on any device other than the iPad 2. Any suggestions?

How do I move from MailerLite classic to new version?

I think there are many things to do in order to use MailerLite 2.

0. Here they explain how : 1. Update the version of the MailerLite PHP script (this is not a new plugin, you just need to update it in the root of your blog with the MailerLite 2.0)2. Add a mailer and install Mail-to-SMS module (which may require re-installation of the SMTP service)3. If you have an old mailer setup and want to get your database ready for MailerLite 2.0 upgrade, delete all your mailers by accessing their admin panel settings and clicking on the Remove button. Then download and install MailerLite 2.0 to replace the old mailer.4. Configure your new SMTP server to receive mail.5. If you've not already installed the plugin that allows your blog to send/receive text messages, do so now.6. Add a mailer from your admin panel and set the relevant options on the right-hand side to the settings from MailerLite 1.

I thought I had completed step 2 but I still had the old email setup. I followed the instructions below and then got an error message when trying to add a new mailer to my blog in the admin panel: An error was encountered while uploading the mailer. This may be caused by incorrect configuration in the SMTP or MAPI system. Please verify your settings are correct and click Try Again if the error persists

The above instructions do not work. I cannot remove the email addresses/accounts from my website. (I am unable to get to the panel and try to perform these tasks.)

I am using this plugin and currently I am using MailLite 1.4 Classic on my Hostgator shared Hosting. And, after sometime, my Hostinger changed the smtp config settings to gmail and everything was good, but now I have to change the SMTP back to the previous setting, which is on live.

Now I have two problems to solve to make it work with new setting. 1) The Plugin works fine, but MailerLite classic says: PHP Smtp settings could not be determined! Please fill them in.

Is MailerLite Classic being discontinued?

I have an account with your company.

I use your MailerLite Classic, which is very expensive. I've been reading you might be planning on discontinuing Mailer Lite Classic. Is this a fact? Thank you.

Reply from Webmaster@MailerLite.com: Hi James. We will indeed be discontinuing Classic as it doesn't offer the functionality we offer in our email marketing services. Our current plan is to focus on MailChimp, while Classic will be phased out by the end of 2025.com:

MailChimp appears to be more expensive in many instances - that's probably where Classic lost its edge. But the functionality I need to perform isn't available on Classic, and Mailchimp does a bunch of other things I need as well, such as autoresponder emailing.

When this new system is complete (we've said "by end of 2016" a couple times already), the new system will let us target customers better (using various data to determine who is going to get what message based on all their characteristics), we will provide more features with a simpler interface, we'll do an incredible amount of research so we can learn more about our target audience and ultimately build stronger relationships with them, etc. That's what we are working on now. But the short-term plan will be Classic ends next year, and MailChimp stays for the time being. I appreciate your help in my education - thanks for providing such a high-quality service! I have just finished setting up MailChimp for the first time and love it! One of my main concerns about setting it up, was how the emails could be generated. As MailChimp is no longer the recommended system for generating emails, will you recommend someone else? It would be most appreciated.

Hi Brian - That's actually really interesting. When your email template looks the same (or pretty close) to when it is in Classic, it might be the case that the system is trying to match based on a similar looking email, which means it should work similarly. So maybe the Classic templates aren't being read by the new system? So that's an interesting question.
