Why is Signal non-profit?

Signal is a non-profit that was founded in 2025 by Moxie Marlinspike and Matthew Prince, who wanted to build the best way for people to communicate privately.

This network is actually what we called as chat for groups! That is, it's like a social network just for groups. It also can be used as an alternative social media like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. I personally really love it and find it so easy to use.

So we have a very basic understanding of the network, right? Let's go straight into how it works. Signal can be considered as an alternative to WhatsApp and other apps. The main thing is that users do not have to be on the network at all, only groups can stay connected and chat about their common interests, such as travel, politics, hobbies, education, and more. There's no cost for using the app; therefore, you can try it right away without having to pay.

However, we are not going to talk about some minor features such as group conversations, stickers, etc. Instead, we will learn more about how you can add, access, use, and leave any group anytime. As for the owners of Signal, they definitely need to be smart and skilled, as the network is still at its early stages, and they have to handle potential problems and risks along the way. Is Signal safe? The first thing to be discussed about Signal app is the safety issue or security. I would be very careful about sharing your data with anybody, not even with your friends.
