Why isn t NordVPN working on Chrome?
This is only going to apply to those people who are having trouble logging in with Chrome.
I have been through this issue over and over again with every possible combination of settings, and I just can t figure out why. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks in advance for taking the time to look at my question.
Hey guys, I am having some difficulties with my NordVPN, it was working fine up until a few days ago when I got a blue screen error message on it. So I uninstalled everything, downloaded a clean copy of the program, restarted my computer and reinstalled it all. I have now been unable to connect since doing this, I cant connect via mobile browser or my computer. I have been to help, my ip addresses appear to be the same as before (they are changing when I disconnect from the internet though). I keep getting a "certificate verification failed" error.
Hi, I recently got a problem. When I try to access a website it says the page can t be reached due to security restrictions on my device.
I have tried everything and I don t understand whats going on. I have installed a free VPN app from the play store, and it is also acting weird. I just bought the app and I also tried uninstalling the apps but to no avail. Vpn keeps blocking a certain website. Hi.e. I am not able to identify your VPN software - which one are you using? Is it working fine and connecting to your desired destination? In order to view the website by IP address (and not using the VPN), you will have to find the IP address of the website. You can use any online IP-to-Country or IP-to-City websites like. I have a problem that I couldn't seem to solve. My connection was lost all of a sudden and I have tried different things. None of them work, but in safari I did manage to bypass the certificate, I went on youtube and logged into my account, and it works fine. But in the other web browsers, the connection is very slow and the video doesn't load. How can I fix this?

How do I use VPN extensions in Chrome?
Since the launch of Google Chrome 50, you can no longer use the network.
GetConnections() API with Chrome because the VPN extensions that I mentioned in How do I use chrome.runtime.connectNative in chrome canary? are deprecated (they are a replacement for the deprecated web-socket API).
In this case you will need to manually create a web socket and it will be automatically established when a VPN connection is in place. To connect the socket you need to send some data over TCP/IP. How to do this using web sockets is described here:
The following code can be used to get started on building the example app. Const port = 4000; const host = '127.getItem('name'); // Connects if there is a name if (name) // Sends a user's name socket.onmessage = (e) => )); } }
Once the socket is in place, you could connect to it from your server code. You could then send the user name over web socket to the client (assuming you are able to send the JSON in your example). If you didn't want to send any data over the network then you would use the web-socket API's send() function:
Const host = '127.onmessage = e => }; socket.send('hello'); // Sends a message
Note that web sockets have a security limitation, only connections over HTTP will work with your computer so you would have to setup an HTTP tunnel in front of your socket for this to work. If you want to send a user's name when they initially connect to your app you will need to handle the case where a VPN connection is not available.
Is there a NordVPN extension for Chrome?
I'm running Chrome on Windows 7 and the latest release of the extension has some bugs.
There are some people suggesting to use the NordVPN extension which runs on linux (I'm using Ubuntu). Does anybody know if there is a working extension for chrome?
Unfortunately it seems like it's not possible to install the NordVPN extension for Chrome with Google Chrome Version 59 on Windows 7, as that is the version of Chrome where these features have been stopped in. If anybody finds a way to get the extension working on chrome 59 and wins his first bounty I would love to add a point.
