How do I enable AdBlock on Chrome?
I use Chrome a lot, and I like how it feels on the Mac.
But I'd prefer to just disable it in settings, instead of adding a chrome://flags flag in my profile to turn it on and off. How do I enable/disable ads and "bloatware" on chrome for Mac? You can use a combination of these solutions. 1 - Disable it in Settings > Privacy: Disable the ability for third party cookies, content, and plugins to be stored and used. 2 - Disable it in Settings > Advanced: Disable the ability to download Chrome apps, extensions, and themes, as well as the ability to run custom commands via the --kiosk command line flag. 3 - Disable it in Safari's preferences: In Safari, go to Advanced > Privacy, click "Block Website Data", and disable "Analytics and Ads". For information, this is how I disabled it. First, in Chrome's settings, go to: chrome://flags/#privacy. Turn on any option you want. Click the button to return to Chrome's UI.
Then, under the "Privacy" tab, disable "Enable third-party cookie blocking" (the text of the checkbox). 4 - Block Ads in Safari's preferences: Select the "Block Pop-ups and Web Content" option in Safari's General tab > Preference. Note: On macOS 10.14 Mojave and newer, "Web Content" refers to WebKit and not Safari.
