Do Spock and T-Pring stay together?

Do Spock and Uhura break up?

We've all heard that the pair from the classic Star Trek series broke up during the filming of the fifth episode, "Turnabout Intruder," in the spring of 1969.

The breakup was allegedly engineered by writer/producer Gene L. Coon to prevent the two leads from having a relationship in the TV show.

In an interview for The Hollywood Reporter, actress Nichelle Nichols tells the story of her and Spock's breakup in a somewhat convoluted fashion. But there is no doubt that the two were not on good terms during the filming of the fifth episode. When I found out that the final episode was supposed to be his farewell to Earth, I felt that I should be the one to take his place. I thought it was my duty to take over that role from him.

It would have been difficult for me to have taken over the role of Uhura had I thought that I had to be in the same place as Spock for any length of time. We were not a couple. He was not my lover. I believed that we had worked together and made a contribution to the success of the show.

I wanted him to be happy, to have a new challenge and to succeed in his life. I knew that I would not be able to have a normal relationship with him if he was going to be the star of a show. I understood that he could have been with me, but he couldn't with his career. That was the end of our relationship.

Spock was not able to say goodbye to the woman who was his first true love. He was not able to say goodbye to the woman who had made him a man. That was the greatest hurt he ever suffered. I do not wish to hurt him. I would not wish that hurt on anyone.

There are those who will take this information as an elaborate, fabricated tale of how the two actors came to be on bad terms. But as far as we know, it is true.

As someone who worked with the couple on the show, I can confirm that this happened. It really was a shame.

I don't think that they broke up for any specific reason. She was simply too beautiful for him to handle.

Do Spock and T-Pring stay together?

(And if so, what about her sister?)
It is obvious that the last time they saw each other was aboard the Enterprise in Generations. Is Spock married to T-Pring? If so, would it mean they did not break up for a long time after that? T'Prang wasn't married and Spock never spoke of her when they were together so I don't think they stayed together. They were on board the Enterprise until the end of that episode and while he wouldn't marry a woman of his people, who hasn't thought about it more than once or twice at the most, I think it's pretty clear they broke up immediately before the war broke out.

The episode "Amok Time" gives more hints, as do the comics. You have a pretty good run through them in this question on Sci-Fi SE which also shows some very interesting differences between the television series and the movies.

What happened to Spock's wife T. Pring?

Spock's wife T.

Pring in "Errand of Mercy."

T. Pring was first mentioned in the script for "Errand of Mercy." She was described as a "very attractive woman who is Spock's wife" who "spoke English with a French accent." The film's writers decided to create a back story for her character to flesh out. She died during childbirth in France while they were writing the script for the film and her death was used to motivate Spock to act. (VOY: "Errand of Mercy.")

In "Amok Time," an episode that takes place six years before the events in "Errand of Mercy," Dr. Janice Lester, whose husband was a friend of Mr. Sarek, wrote Spock a letter. He later gave it to T. According to the producers, she is supposed to be a human member of a French resistance group trying to assassinate Hitler. In the scene, Spock takes the letter from T. Pring and reads it in French.

Why did Spock refer to T. Pring as "that woman"? He was referring to T. Pring as "that woman" because he knew that what they did together on board the U. Hood was forbidden. He knew that it was strictly a relationship between Spock and T. Pring, so his reference to "that woman" was to remind her of their time together, where he only talked to her, and she only talked to him. However, he didn't know if she was telling the truth about her past, and when she disappeared, he thought it was suspicious. (Star Trek Encyclopedia)

In "Amok Time," in the scene when T. Pring's letter is read, she is the one who reads it in French, while Spock is the one who translates it into English.

Did T. Pring have another name? At the time, T. Pring did not have a last name because she had just married Spock and so did not have one. When her first letter was written, she was still unmarried. However, when she received Spock's second letter, she became attached to Spock's friend, and she decided to keep the last name of her maiden name in order to protect the secret of Spock and her relationship from those who did not know her.
