Does Aruba have VPN?

Aruba uses NAT. Does Aruba have VPN? We can't see inside other users networks, not even on a local IP.

We tried this before, we setup the VPN connection with IPSec/PPTP. For some reason, we got an IP in a local IP range. We are not able to reach out any other computer in that LAN, unless we use one of our own.

Is it normal? Will we be able to reach our internet from our hotel room if we use the IP that our VPN gets? Yes Aruba has VPN. Aruba provides you with two IP addresses, the first one being 192.168.0.1 and the second one being 198.51.100. The first one is your default public IP address, while the second one is the internal IP. You should be able to reach your LAN computers by using these two IP addresses.

Yes, you can reach your computers by using the IP address assigned to the guest user. Your virtual interface will only exist in the guest account and it will not affect your public IP address. Please see for further information.

There is an OpenVPN server running as a guest user. That is why you're able to reach your lan computers using that IP address. You are not connecting directly to your lan from outside of the hotel.

You can set up an OpenVPN server using the guest user as a client. It's probably not a good idea though, because then you will no longer be able to access your lan network by using the public IP address.

Does Aruba provide firewall protection? I know they do in their free version, but what about their paid version? We have the premium one and they do not protect our network, or is it normal to have no protection? It's normal to have no firewall protection in Aruba. They don't make money out of that.
